Once arriving to the courthouse, Amanda checked her watch. Her eyes bugged out into a shocked surprise. “Oh my god,” She shrieked out. “9:57. LET’S GO!” Everyone hurried into the courthouse going through the medal detectors quickly. Upon arriving to the correct courtroom, they saw the door shutting. It was a very large door. It went from the floor to the ceiling with its light colored oak wood. “Wait!” Amanda called out.

The officer held the door open and saw three girls running to the door, just barely being able to stop on the waxed floor. “This is a closed session, ladies.” The officer said politely.

“This is my case.” Amanda protested.

The officer eyed Spencer and Ashley for a second. “Okay, but your friends can’t come in here. Like I said, it’s a closed session, family and witnesses only.”

The groups of girls had finally caught their breath and were now speaking easily. “We are her family.” Ashley said trying to pull the wool over his eyes.

Lt. Jared Letterman is what his badge read. Big, bold and engraved nicely. He crossed his arms over his chest and took in a breath sticking his shoulders up in a wide angle. He was trying to play the tough guy card and make himself look bigger. “Explain the relation then.”

Amanda stumbled at first but regained her direction of speech. She pointed at Spencer first. “This is Spencer Carlin. She is my cousin and for the last year and a half, she’s been like my sister.” No one had ever noticed how good this girl was at lying. Ashley was up next to be described as some distant relative. “And this is Ashley Davies.” That was all the explanation she gave. Something was up.

The guy in his uniform let his guard down. “Davies? As in Raiffe Davies?” All three girls nodded. “Go on in.” he said with a happy tone.

The three girls entered the courtroom secretly giving each other congratulations. Spencer and Ashley took their seats in the first row while Amanda nervously made her way to her sectioned area in front of Spencer and Ashley.

            The judge entered the room and everybody rose upon request from another officer. Once they were all seated, the judge read off some things from documents strictly for the purpose of the sound file that would be saved. Once everything was settled, Amanda finally gained the strength to look over her shoulder to the boy who did this to her. He caught her glance and flashed her a sarcastic smile. She quickly looked away loosing all confidence. “Mr. Preston. You are being held accountable for rape upon this young lady. How do you plead?” The judge asked. Judge Jackson to the rescue. The most anyone could do at this point is be honest.
