    A Different L: Episode 7 Part 5

    Supergirl: Be safe, Quake.

    Daisy: You too, Supergirl.

Daisy watches as Supergirl flies up to the upper level of her apartment and then out of the window. She admires the view. She admires the woman.

    Lower Manhattan, New York.

Stark Tower still stands, but serves less as an Avengers facility and again as a basis for Tony Stark himself though the Iron Man himself is elsewhere, much like Pepper Potts who has dropped out of sight with no interest in returning for now. The busiest office on this Sunday night belongs to Maria Hill who has decided to operate out of this same building she has grown accustomed to instead of her office in Washington, D.C. Maria knows that Livewire had at one point been a prisoner at the D.E.O. base before being freed by Silver Banshee. She knows that Lucy is likely working on some kind of contingency plan to deal with any looming threats the pair could pose. She suspects that this planning is being done without Victoria Hand’s supervision.

Maria wants to think back to happier times with Lucy. The smile, the caresses, the moments that made her forget about the destruction of one place or another. Maria forces those tranquil moments out of mind and makes the call.

Maria: Agent Hand. Has Lane or Henshaw reported to you?

Victoria Hand is at her own home in West Hollywood when she receives the call. She is currently getting dressed to go to back to the SHIELD base.

Victoria: Not yet. With either Mister Freeze or Captain Cold responsible, this is only going to magnify the problems we’re about to have.

Maria: I also find it disappointing that your SHIELD team has been unable to find the Arkham escapees.

Victoria: And as I informed you the previous times, Secretary Hill it’s not easy to find who we’re looking for when we’re still not completely aware of who was there in the first place. We still have a team trying to pour through what little was left of Hugo Strange’s notes.

Maria: I can tell you now that unless Leonard Snart and his pal, “Heat Wave” have returned to L.A., then it looks like you can count Victor Fries as one of the Arkham guys. You need to find him fast before he or whatever else broke out of that hole decide to break out some other dangerous criminals.
