Putting the reading glasses back on Bette goes back to the documents and reads through them. She is excited about the different ports of call which include Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica. The last thing she pulls out of the envelope puts a huge smile on her face. She gets up and hugs Peggy tightly. “Thank you. I should have known that you would have thought of everything.”

“You’re welcome dear. Just let me know what you decide, and I’ll take care of the rest. You did ask me to help with Act XVI after all. That isn’t limited to just keeping Angie.

Bette and Tina are having a date night at home. They had dinner earlier and they’d just finished watching a romantic comedy that they’d rented on DVD. It was a stay at home date, and neither really felt like dressing up and going out. They just wanted to spend time together talking and planning for the holidays. Angie was with her Aunt Kit this time.

They were snuggled up on the coach when Tina shifted so she could look Bette in the eye. “Are you disappointed that we can’t do a getaway for your birthday?”

Bette kissed her nose and answered. “How could I be. The alternative is that I get to stay home and make love to my wife for two or three consecutive days. That’s not exactly a hardship Tina. It would be the ultimate gift if you were to conceive on my birthday. The fact is we can still go away if you want to.”

“Yeah. We’ll just postpone and maybe we can plan something in early January.” Tina sounded a bit down, and although the both agreed that getting pregnant took priority, she wasn’t too crazy about her body’s timing this month. Bette had gone out of her way to make Tina’s birthday special over Memorial Day when they’d spent several days at Peggy’s three-bedroom villa on Catalina Island.

“I have a surprise you or rather Peggy arranged a surprise for us.” Bette gets up from her comfortable position of lying on the couch and goes to her briefcase to get the cruise documents. Tina sits up with her legs crossed and Bette sits beside her then hands her documents. Tina takes them out and reads them and has the same reaction as Bette. She’s excited about the trip until she sees the dates.
