“Babe this is wonderful, but did you notice that it’s booked during what we anticipate being my ovulation period? The whole point of not getting away for your birthday is that we need to be here for the insemination.”

“Peggy has thought of that. There is more in the envelope.”

“OK Babe. Do we need to have a boundaries discussion again? I know we’ve involved her in this process by having her take Angie a few days a month but what do you mean she’s ‘thought of that’?”

“Sweetie trust me. Just take the rest of the documents out of the envelope. I wouldn’t even have accepted it if I didn’t think it was worth discussing but it’s totally up to you.”

Tina pulls the additional papers out of the envelope and sees an announcement for an Artist group show taking place in Central America.

“We’re booked on a cruise which includes the Panama Canal, and Costa Rica to celebrate your birthday and it just so happens that Marcus Allenwood is doing a group show in Central America at the same time? What is Peggy thinking?”

“Tina our arrangement with Marcus isn’t limited to making deposits to the cryobank.”

“Bette are you suggesting that I have sex with Marcus?”

Bette can’t help but laugh at the astonished look on Tina’s face. She pulls her wife in for a kiss.

“Baby as much as I want to have a baby with you, we are not repeating ‘the penis, the pussy, the baby’.” Bette imitates Jean Paul in her best French accent taking a chance by bringing that disastrous encounter back to memory. Bette was pleased that Tina could find the humor in it now.

She chuckled along with her wife. “So what arrangements are you talking about.”

“I’ve spoken to Marcus and he’s willing to meet the cruise at ports in Central America. He has agreed to ’squirt in a cup’ for us Tee. Maybe having the sperm fresh instead of frozen might increase our chances. Do you want to try it? It’s totally up to you. If you’re not comfortable we can stay here and go to the cryobank. The cruise is fully refundable, or we can change the dates and use it at another time.”
