Tina’s apartment, late night: Eric makes his way to the front door and turns around. Tina is behind him, in a robe.
Eric – I had fun tonight …
He wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her lips.
Tina – Me too.
Eric – I wouldn’t mind staying.
She combs her hair with her fingers.
Tina – I have to wake up terribly early tomorrow. We have some scenes to shoot at dawn.
He pouts.
Eric – OK. What time will you be free?
Tina – Don’t know yet.
Eric – Talk to you tomorrow?
Tina – Uh-huh! I’ll call you.
Eric – Love you!
He leans in for a kiss. She gives him her cheek.
Tina – Talk to you tomorrow.
He leaves.
She closes the door and sighs, returning to the bedroom with a frown. She picks up her clothes from the bedroom floor and places them on a chair with a sigh. She takes off her robe and lies in bed, covering herself with the sheet.
Guilt is not a good aphrodisiac … she should have known that. Neither is disappointment … or misplaced desire. Not when she could see two deep brown orbs gazing at her when she closed her eyes. Not when she could feel his beard stubble all over her body … lightly scraping her skin … grazing her inner thighs … Not when she realized that she was not going to come, no matter how gentle he was and how he tried. Not when intercourse was not really on her mind when she pulled him into the bedroom, but was the easiest way to put an end to the night. All because of a silly teenage kiss?! Stop it!
Tina – You are not sixteen!
She sighs with frustration.

Bette’s office, afternoon: James shows up at the door.
James – Bette, phone call from Emily. Will you answer?
The gallery owner frowns.
James – She says that she met you in a nightclub last weekend.
Bette – Ahh … I guess …
James – On line 1.
She sighs and answers the phone.
Bette – Hi, Emily!
Emily – Hi, Bette! I found your gallery phone number … since you didn’t call.

I like this story. Tina is beginning to see her dissatisfaction with Eric. And Meg? She wants Tina to marry someone to be friends with her husband so she can have time to talk to her BFF? That’s a bit selfish isn’t it? Hopefully Meg is a better friend than that. Well can’t wait to see how this acquaintance between Bette and Tina goes.

Wonderful story, and a very nice chapter.
I see how hard Tina is fighting her homosexuality and attraction for Bette, that happens many, many times, and can go good for open-mind people who decide to live their lives and be honest with themselves without hiding from the rest of the world, and it can go bad for the ones who decide to live a double life or even worst to fight the ones that had the strength of coming-out.
Anyway, Tina is in a ‘spiral collision course’ with her destiny, the future love of her life.
Nice move Bette, so smart to invite Eric and Tina, Bette is cornering the blonde, and let’s see or rather, read what you will write in your next chapter.
