    LA sports club, morning: Tina, Eric, Meg and Brad are playing doubles in a tennis court. The blonde hits a forehand that Meg, a small brunette with a pixie haircut, does not catch.

    Eric – Game and set!

    Brad – That ball was out!

    Eric chuckles.

    Eric – Oh, c’mon! Any blind person could see that it was in!

    The short haired brunette turns to her husband.

    Meg – It was in! But even if it was out, I’m taking a break!

    Tina – Me too!

    She turns to the men.

    Tina – You two can play the next set all by yourselves.

    Brad, an athletic, six-foot five blond man, turns to Eric.

    Brad – Now, we are talking!

    The two women leave the court.

    Tina – You and I know that you could catch that ball.

    Meg winks at her.

    Laurel Canyon, morning: Bette and Alice are jogging, the blonde stopping out of breath.

    Alice – I can’t …

    The brunette returns to her side and runs in circles around her.

    Bette – Chicken!

    Alice – I don’t know what has gotten into you! Jogging on a Saturday morning?!

    They start walking.

    Alice – I went to bed at two thirty!

    Bette – You should live a healthier lifestyle.

    Alice gives her a side glance.

    Alice – Who are you and what have you done to my friend?

    Bette is looking around.

    Bette – Not many people here …

    Alice – Of course! They are all sleeping!

    Bette – Maybe it’s a little too late …

    Alice – Late for what?

    Bette – Eh?

    Alice – Late for what?

    Bette – Uh … to jog. Maybe people come earlier to avoid the heat.

    Alice – Maybe people are eating brunch right now … where I should be!

    2. I like this story. Tina is beginning to see her dissatisfaction with Eric. And Meg? She wants Tina to marry someone to be friends with her husband so she can have time to talk to her BFF? That’s a bit selfish isn’t it? Hopefully Meg is a better friend than that. Well can’t wait to see how this acquaintance between Bette and Tina goes.

      Great chapters …hungry for more.

      So glad you’re picking up this story again! I definitely remember it and can recall what happens at the party but I can’t remember if the entire story was finished or not. Anyways, can’t wait for the next posts!!

      Wonderful story, and a very nice chapter.

      I see how hard Tina is fighting her homosexuality and attraction for Bette, that happens many, many times, and can go good for open-mind people who decide to live their lives and be honest with themselves without hiding from the rest of the world, and it can go bad for the ones who decide to live a double life or even worst to fight the ones that had the strength of coming-out.

      Anyway, Tina is in a ‘spiral collision course’ with her destiny, the future love of her life.

      Nice move Bette, so smart to invite Eric and Tina, Bette is cornering the blonde, and let’s see or rather, read what you will write in your next chapter.
