    Keeping the party going.

    Tina: I’m starving how about you two?

    Angelica: Yes, I’m hungry and I know what we are having for dinner. Can I have cake first, please?

    Tina: Well you know the answer to that one don’t you.

    Bette: Well, it’s my cake and I’m not cutting it until after dinner so let’s go at dinner. The family heads back out into the restaurant and is amazed at the feast Kit has had laid out. Wow Kit this looks amazing, thank you so much.

    Kit: It’s for my baby sis, of course its amazing now sit down and eat.  Everyone gathers around the secluded round table Kit had set up for the family.

    Alice: Oh my god this food is wonderful.

    Shane: Wow it really is and different that what we usually get here. Are you thinking of adding any of these dishes to the menu or feature them as specials?

    Kit: Shane, you’ve found me out. I’m using you all as guinea pigs to test these recipes. Eye roll.  I hadn’t planned on using these of the menu, but maybe we’ll consider it. We’ll have to evaluate the time to prep and the food costs before we can add it to our rotation or menu.

    Bette: Listen to my sister the business woman. The food is excellent and I can’t thank you all enough for taking the time to celebrate with me. This is certainly better than the dinner last night.

    Tina: Bette gave a brilliant acceptance speech and had both Phyllis and I both in tears.

    Angelica: Momma why did you make Mommy cry? That’s not nice.

    Tina: No, baby sometimes mommy cries happy tears, last night was happy tears.

    Angelica: OK if you say so.

    Bette: Boo sometimes you make us cry happy tears because we love you and are so proud of you becoming such a big girl. Moms do that sometimes, you’ll get used to it.

    Kit: Auntie’s do it too. We are very proud of you little Miss. Leans over and kisses her niece.

    Angelica: I’m finished, now can we have some cake?

    Bette: You meaning icing right?  Well since it’s my party I get the first slice. 

    The group chuckles as they all know Angelica likes her sugar straight, and will leave enough cake on her plate. Kit has allowed the pastry chef to put plenty of decoration on the cake so Angelica will get her fix. Angelica looks disappointedly at her mother, but knows better than to say anything. The staff clears the table and brings out the cake, dessert plates, coffee and milk for Angelica. The server cuts the cake and gives Bette the first slice. Angelica is watching her every move until her slice is placed in front of her.

    1. Loved this story, lwsho. They are a great family together especially when Bette can relax and let the love happen. Having another child will be wonderful for them and it will also help Angie, although she is almost too grown now, with her take charge personality. It is not necessarily in the genes, it is also the environment that shapes up into the people we become. If hr mother’s are anything to judge by she will be quite a young lady, beautiful, smart, loving and one hell of an alpha. Won’t she. This is fun and I enjoy it, although for some reason I smell trouble in the air. Tell me I’m wrong. If not, plese don’t let it be too serious. Happy New Year. Post when you can.

    2. lwshow2005, I LOVE ANGIE!!! I had some time after dinner to settle myself in front of the fire as it snows at the moment, and read this very generous post. I enjoy reading good fics that have Angie in them. They are usually written with such fun, love, and a lightness which can be very easy to indulge in. Can’t wait for baby #2!!!!!! :- )))) Happy New Year and can’t wait for the next chappy. Oh and btw, good selection for a movie.

    9. lwsho2005. i have been reading this story from the beginning, and i love it. Angie is DO flippin cute I can’t stand it! I wonder how she’ll react to not being the only child … hmmm. looking forward to the next chappy! Happy new year

    12. Dimples, thanks for reading and replying. I’ve been bumped off course and not sure if I’ll resume writing this one. At some point I may wrap it up with another chapter, but my author days may be over; kind of in a Fan Fic funk at the moment.
