In another part of the building, Peggy is in her office with Bette talking about the next steps to take to fully recover the Lower Manhattan branch and to remove Aaron from the direction.

Peggy: “so far the branch is saved; the fake title in the name of Melvin is being investigated by the authorities, the original title document in the name of the real owners has been found; now they are searching how the false document was introduced in the market for a legal transaction”

Bette: (intrigued) “the real owners? Who are they?”

Peggy: “an association of two or three old partnerships”

Bette: “are you talking about families or consortiums?”

Peggy: “well, indeed both, but sorry honey, I can’t disclose the names”

Bette: “hmm, you mean I will never know who the owners of Bureau’s buildings are? I thought they belong to the company”

Peggy: “no, the buildings are private properties the company pay the rent…, but you will know who the owners are, Bette, at the right time, not now, darling”

Bette: (changing topics reluctantly) “I understand that you talked with Jodi”

Peggy: “yes, I talked to her because she has neglected her job, didn’t present reports, no result, she confessed that she was distracted and can’t concentrate, she said that she needs counseling help, I signed a document authorizing free time twice a week for her to see a psychologist, but she’s in observation…, what she didn’t say is that for the last six months she was spying on you, Dan Foxworthy will treat her”

Bette: “she isn’t gonna tell a word”

Peggy: “Dan uses hypnosis sometimes, Bette”

Bette: “uh, okay, what about Aaron?”

Peggy: “the FBI is looking for him, but I’m afraid your father may know where he is”

Bette: “do you think Melvin is protecting him?”

Tina was in her office working in a project when suddenly noticed that her tablet charger was missing, perhaps she left it at home, these last days having Bette in her bed have been wonderful but every morning they wake up a little late because of their nocturne activity, and it is the second time she forgets something, so, she went to the lobby to ask Maryann for a charger.

Tina: “Maryann, would you have a tablet charger?”

Maryann: “sure, let me get you one”

Tina: “but you’re busy, I can find it if you tell me where they are”

Maryann: “that door is the stockroom, it’s unlocked you can check in the second shelf at the right they should be in the third row”

Tina: “thanks”

The blonde went to the stockroom, leaving the door open she searches in the shelf. At that moment Melvin entered the lobby.

Melvin: “tell Bette I want to talk to her”

Maryann: “good morning, Dr. Porter, she isn’t here, I’ll call her”

Melvin: (looking around) “is she in the building?”

Maryann: “yes, wait for a second, please”

In the meantime, Tina has already found the charger and was about to walk from the stockroom to the lobby.

Maryann: “she’s in her way”
