The other thing was that Tina too had never outright come out and said something to Bette about her feelings. So this game of waiting and seeing who had more courage and a strong heart to handle rejection had ultimately cost them all this time apart.

Tina opened her eyes as she felt the brunette sigh softly besides her.

“Bette…”

Bette turned her head and looked into the concerned hazel eyes as the blonde’s soft whisper broke the silence between them.

“Yeah…”

“Are you okay?” Came the worried query.

“Yes, just thinking.”

“Seems like you have a lot on your mind. Care to share?” Tina asked.

“Its nothing to worry about Tee. It feels so good to be here I can’t describe it.”

“Yeah it does.”

“Bette…?”

“Yeah Tee…”

“Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure go ahead.”

“Did you miss me?” Tina asked.

Tina saw as the brunette’s face paled and eyes got big. She kept looking into the brown eyes trying to read what was going through Bette’s mind.

The blonde’s sudden question knocked the wind out of the brunette. Fear gripped her heart. Bette found herself in a situation where she struggled to open up her heart to the blonde on one hand while on the other hand she fought to keep from getting hurt.

“I..I…Tina…what are you talking about? Of course everyone missed you.” Bette stuttered finally getting her mind focused to answer the blonde’s question.

“Bette you very well know what I am talking about. I don’t want to know about others. Tell me about what you felt.” Tina said feeling hurt as it seemed like Bette was trying to minimize what Tina was saying.

Finally that she tried to take the first step and she was getting hurt. The hazel eyes pooled with unshed tears that Tina tried hard to keep from falling.

“Tina…I…I missed you too.” Bette whispered in a wavering voice as her eyes too filled up.

“Did you really miss me?” Tina asked in a hushed voice.

“Yes….I missed you so much.” Came the choked reply.

“Say it again.”

“I missed you. I missed you so much Tee….so much…”

But before the brunette could complete her statement the soft pink lips had crashed into hers in a searing kiss.

A beautiful kiss that took their breath away.

Bette felt her heart explode with love as she felt Tina’s soft lips caressing hers’. The brunette felt her mind go dizzy with excitement as Tina’s warm tongue gently licked her lips asking for permission to enter which was granted quickly.

Bette put her arms around the blonde’s neck and pulled her more tightly against her body as they kissed. She couldn’t get enough of the blonde. This felt like a dream and she didn’t want it to end. She couldn’t believe this was really happening.

Feeling the warm soft tongue inside her mouth caressing her, Bette felt the sweetness of Tina and couldn’t help but suck gently on it savoring the sweet flavor. She increased the pressure and it was Tina’s turn to moan as she felt the light tug. The blonde got lost in the feel of the warm deliciousness that was Bette. Warmth spread all over her as Tina tried to get a grasp on the intensity of this kiss.

Finally the need for air demanded that they separate.

They slowly pulled apart and rested their foreheads together trying to get their breathing under control and their hearts to slow down from euphoria it felt.

After a few moments, the blonde pulled away a little and softly smiled as she looked at the flustered mocha beauty before her still trying to catch her breath. 

“Hey…”

“Wow.” Came the amazed reply to which the blonde could only chuckle.

That was precisely how she felt.
