“Thank you, Jamie. This is one of my favorite charities so I’m happy to help.”

Jamie leaves. Kit, Alice and Tina continue their conversation. They will see each other at Family Night later that evening.

“Ladies. I need to get back to work but I’ll see you all tonight.”

“Hey Kit, be sure to bring your “Grandma Brag Book”. I want to see the pictures of Katie.”

“Will do, Alice. David just sent some new ones today. She’s barely a month and she’s growing and changing so much already. I can’t wait to spend Thanksgiving with them.”

“They are still planning to come here for Christmas, right?” Alice asked.

”Yeah. They’ve already made plans. Peggy was kind enough to offer for them to fly on the Peabody jet with Winnie and the kids. That will be a lot less hassle than traveling with a baby during the holidays on a commercial flight. Listen I really need to get going. See you tonight.”

“See you later Kit.” Alice and Tina continue talking as they walk out of the Planet

“It’ll be great for all of us to be together at Christmas. James, Lisa and the kids will be here also.”

“Wow. The entire family will be here. Where’s everyone staying?”

“David, Gina and the baby will be staying at the house in West Hollywood so they will be close to Kit. Winnie, James, Lisa and the kids will be staying with Peggy. Angie wants to stay there too with all her cousins. She loves staying at grandma’s especially when the other kids are there. Peggy has two extra guest rooms available. Bette and I have two so anyone else that wants to stay over is welcome. Peggy will be hosting Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Breakfast/Brunch. It’ll be like an open house.”

“Tasha and I probably won’t want to drive back to WeHo. We’ll hang out with you guys. What about Thanksgiving?”

“We’re spending Thanksgiving in New York City with Peggy, Winnie and the kids. Bette and I have a couple of hotel nights booked for the weekend. We’ll have some alone time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Can you believe it’s already been a year?”

    1. Our girls are busy with their lives and getting things in place to operate when the time comes that they need to take time for the birth of the baby. With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming and their families getting together and growing in numbers is going to be a really joyful occasion for the Kennard-Porter family. Family is not something Bette had a lot of. And since Tina met and fell in love with Bette, her family virtually disappeared as well. They now have more family than they ever imagined.

Why is Jodi snubbing Tina? Jodi ended the relationship not Tina. Jodi didn’t want the relationship and Bette finally saw it. I think its a true and correct assessment that Bette and Jodi will not be friends. Bette was just a shinny new toy in Jodi’s life which she quickly got board with and wanted to move on. And unlike Jodi, Bette was looking for a committed relationship with love and grace and self-fulfillment. That could only be Tina.

Thank you for this chapter….keep them coming…more please?

    2. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Technology has changed so much in such a short period of time. Bringing Jodi back to town makes drama very present. I hope this time Tina and Bette don’t take their eyes off the prize. Keep posting, please.
