Butterflies in the Stomach
She frowns. ”Um, yeah. Why?”
”Then you must be aware that by using water wisely, people can help the environment.”
She keeps frowning in confusion. ”What’s your point?”
”So you see, I care about the environment, you care about the environment and we both can help the environment. Right now.”
Her expression doesn’t change, even gets more perplexed. ”How in the world?!”
I shrug. ”By taking a shower together. You know, to save the water.”
Tina closes her eyes slowly and lets out a heavy sigh through her nose. Suppressed laughter is almost tearing me apart as I watch her struggle not to kill me.
”I hate you. I really hate you,” she says calmly.
Finally I let my giggles break free. My God, it’s so much fun teasing her, I can’t even help myself.
”Fine, fine, I’ll leave you alone,” I chuckle, raising my hands in surrender. Before leaving, I turn to her one last time and raise my eyebrows suggestively. ”By the way, you didn’t say yes or no.”
She ushers me away by hitting me with her towel several times, closing the door in my face. I shake my head and chuckle as I make my way upstairs to use another bathroom.
The ringing of my phone stops me. I glance down at the device that is lying on the coffee table, let out a sigh and go down the stairs to answer the call. Just then the doorbell echoes through the penthouse.
What the..?
Not bothering with the phone, I rush to the door as fast as I can to stop the dogs from barking so loud. When I push the door open, shock hits me full force in the form of Nadia. Taking advantage of my delayed ability to react, Nadia leans in to kiss me straight on the mouth and swiftly crosses the threshold.
Right on cue the dogs run up to her and start jumping all over her.
”Aaaaah!” Nadia squeals with fear and disgust. ”Take them away from me! Take them away!”
I try to do my best to manage the dogs and make Nadia shut up. Before long the dogs loose interest and settle down, dispersing into the apartment.
”Where did they come from?” Nadia asks, her face still contorted by repugnance.

Hi Valerie:
That was wonderful chapter; your stories always lift my mood, what a nice and humorous afternoon at Bette’s apartment; that was really hilarious, I love this story; indeed, though being almost the opposite one of the other, I love both of your stories.
I think Bette is lost, she is totally infatuated for Tina, and I think she is going to keep falling more and more for her.
They come from so different worlds and, as when they talked about their hairs, each of them feels attracted to some aspect of the other, I’ll say they may complement each other. I like that Tina is looking at Bette in a friendly way, maybe more than that, she mentioned about her beauty and her body; which lead me to think Tina already ‘checked’ on the brunette.
Careful Bette the best hunter can also be hunted.
What a great chapter, please Valerie, update soon, I’ll be eagerly waiting for the updates of your stories

Great story with good humor. I laughed a lot. It’s a pity there’s no sequel.
