Dinner was still a few hours away. Angie had just walked through the door.
“Mom?” She calls out.
“In the livingroom sweetie.” Bette replies.
Angie walks in and sees her mother laying down on the couch.
“Hey mom. How are you feeling?” Angie asks.
“Hi sweetie. I’m not feeling too good. Low energy level.” Bette replies as she looks up at Angie.
“I’m sorry you’re not feeling so good.” Angie replies.
“Don’t worry sweetie, treatment is soon over hopefully.” Bette says. “Angie, I have a little request of you today.” Bette states.
“Okay? What is it?” She asks.
Bette is pulling herself up into a sitting position and be leveled with Angie.
“You know my hair is starting to fall out. And tonight I’ve asked Shane to come by to cut it off.” Bette says, holding her breath for Angie’s reaction.
“Oh!” Was Angie’s first reaction.
“I know sweetie. I hate it. But it’s falling off.” Bette says as she wipes the tears that are running down her cheek. “Come here.” Bette says and holds out her hand for Angie to join her on the couch. “This is a big thing for me sweetie. My hair has been one of my… Signatures if you will.” She keeps wiping the tears. “Tonight, I want mama T there with me when I do this.” Bette starts but is interrupted by Angie.
“And you want me to be somewhere else?” Angie asks with a slight smile. “I can go to Jordi’s house.” Angie adds.
“You don’t mind? It’s just…” Bette starts.
“I get it mom. I know this is a huge deal for you and mama T is back and it will be an extremely private moment for you guys. I don’t want to be in the way of that. I finally have both my moms back… together. If this is what you need to get through this situation, off course I’ll go away.” Angie says with a loving smile on her face.
“I love you Angie, so much. I hate that you’re growing up though, that you are not my little baby anymore.” Bette says with a chuckle.
“Oh, I’m so glad I’m not a baby anymore. Those diapers were a pain in my but.” Angie fires back with a chuckle.
Bette pulls Angie in for a hug. “I love you.” Bette whispers.

That makes me sad that Bette is losing her hair. But it will come back. Better to lose your hair than to lose your life.
Its not so much that Bette losing her hair but the fact that this is such a painful moment for her. But with Tina, she will get through this. Hopefully her treatments will be over soon and she can be on the way to recovery.
Glad that Tina’s job won’t actually start for 4 months….

It appears that Tina is being sincere in her desire to make their relationship work this time around. Hopefully Bette’s treatments will be successful & she’ll recover quickly.

It’s a difficult time and will be for a long while, but all the amazing stories on this site brings a little relief.
Bette losing her beautiful hair, that’s sad but that’s she wants Tina with her when Shane gives her a hair cut is special and bitter sweet. And Angie giving them that moment and recognize it as a special, she is really growing up to a special woman.

Maybe Bette can have a wig made out of her beautiful hair, My friend did that.
