Chapter 1 – List and More List

Tina:  That sounds right to me. Hopefully an agent can find us something quickly.

Bette: Why don’t you take charge of the house shopping appointments. I’ll take charge of the vehicles and some of the other matters on the list. You take charge of getting Angie ready for school and I’ll take charge of finding Daniel a school and getting him his clothes, equipment, transportation, after school activities and whatever else he needs. There’s another list.  Remind me to call Jeanette tomorrow about music lessons.

Daniel:  Do not forget.  I want guitar and violin lessons if I can get them.

Bette:  Maybe Aunt Jeanette can help us shop for a couple of guitars and a violin.

    Tina:  A couple of guitars?

Bette:  Yes, an acoustical guitar and an electric guitar. Then we will need amps and head phones so that he doesn’t blast us out of the house.

Tina:  Well, let’s find a school first. We need to be looking for a school for next year as well. We will need to be enrolled by Christmas I would think.

Bette:  Yeah, next year will be his first year in middle school. Hopefully this is his last year in elementary school. Daniel, what course of study do you want to concentrate in?

Daniel:  Science and mathematics.  You know that.

Bette:  Just checking to see if you have changed your mind. Once we are committed, it will be hard to change directions. Okay, I’ll work on that list.

Tina:  Okay, why don’t we work individually on each of our areas and get back together and go over each of them to make sure we are both on the same page.

Bette: That’s a good idea and I won’t make any decisions without your approval.

Tina:  I won’t make any decision without your approval either. We just need to be ready to make decisions quickly.

Bette:  Well, when it comes to the house, we really need to be satisfied with what we are getting. Something that permanent needs to have a high level of satisfaction to go forward.

Tina and Bette ceased to talk but started to diligently work on their list and doing preliminary searches on the internet. After a week of activities and friends, the quiet of the family sharing time and space felt good.  After a while, Tina suggested that they retire for the night. Tomorrow would be a very busy day. Angie and Daniel said good night to their moms and retired to their rooms.
