After dinner, kitchen clean-up was quick. The family walked Sonny and Kit to their car. Hugging the children, Kit and Sonny reminded them they would be seeing them in the near future. Tina hugged her in-laws. No family member was as close to Tina as Kit was. Kit had stood by Tina during that time when she was separated from Bette. Kit loved Tina being in her family and could not imagine Bette’s life without Tina. Now they were coming back to Los Angeles.  Kit was really happy to have her family back in the area. She missed her sister and sister-in-law. And now she and Sonny would get to know Daniel as they had gotten to know Angie.

Bette reminded Kit to phone the law offices in Philadelphia tomorrow and let her know the results. She then thanked her again for her help with the guest house and that they would talk this week. Sonny and Kit drove away.

The family went back inside and went into the dining room and got out their lap tops.  Daniel got his laptop out and started to download music to his hard drive.  Angie found the driving manual and started reading.  Tina started looking at various houses for sale and talking to Bette about the specifics of what they wanted in a house. They would sign an agent tomorrow who would start the search in earnest.

Bette:  Okay, T.  Let’s start our list. Let’s start an overall list and then do a detail list on each topic. When we get things done, then we will check them off.

Tina:  Yeah, then we need to prioritize each list. Some things have to be accomplished before other things can be started. Since we are going to meet with an agent tomorrow let’s get a description of the house, we want first.

Bette:  Okay. We want a four bedroom, four- and one-half baths, a three or four car garage, a pool or a place to put a pool, and a studio suitable for painting. We want it in the greater Los Angeles area. We want it move in ready. Okay if it needs updating, but no fixer upper. We would like some yard and outdoor space. We also need a bedroom on the main level if it is a multi-level house. Let’s set a budget of $2.5 million. If we have to go more, for the right property, we will. We are open as to the architectural style of the house.
