Tina:  We are here to advise you and to give you our experiences and to point you toward things you need to consider and their impact on your life. You will be an adult and you will be the one who will either benefit from your decision or suffer the consequences of your decisions. You will hold all the cards. We just hope that you do consider the impact every decision has on your life and choose the path which gives you the most benefit and the most happiness. But you want to avoid harm to others as well as yourself.

Bette:  We know that you will make some mistakes. No human is perfect. God only knows how many mistakes I made in my life, and I have paid for every one of them. And looking back, I think that if I had listened to my common sense or to someone that I had trusted, I would have saved myself a lot of anguish. I think that if you have to come to a decision, you must always ask yourself if this truly will help me be the person I want to be. And if you are unsure, call your Mama T or me and we will discuss it. We don’t have all the answers, but maybe we can give you something to help you make your decision.  In the end, you will make the decision.

Tina:  Let’s go to the other rooms. We need to get this done so we can have a nap.

They all went to the room that was occupied by Alice and Lynn.  They checked the towel supply and they looked fine. Angie and Bette started to make the bed while Tina worked on the pillows.

Tina:  Angie, have you ever been to a party or a gathering where there was a lot of drinking or some causal drug use?

Angie:  No, I haven’t.  The type parties that I usually attend are usually a small group of friends which are focused on a specific activity.  You know like me and Laurie and her family went to the US Open last summer. We saw 2 or 3 matches and then I went with her and her family to dinner. Or we get a group together to go to the movies or to a mall in Jersey.  I’ve never been to a party that wasn’t well supervised or where alcohol was being served. Now I have heard some of my friends talk about some party over at Rockaway Island. A couple of the guys really got plastered. Didn’t sound like much fun to me.
