Chapter 11
(Angelica) Have you been staying here?
Tina raises her eyebrows and Bette looks over from the stovetop.
(Tina) Ah, yes, I stayed a few nights here while you were on camp
Angelica furrows her brow and nods.
(Tina) Your Mom needed someone to stay with her to make sure she was OK when she first came home from the hospital
Angelica continues to look between them suspiciously.
(Angelica) OK
They eat dinner together at the dining table and Tina then stands and starts to clear their dishes.
(Bette) Just leave everything Tee, I’ll take care of it after you go
(Tina smiles) Well let me move things to the kitchen at least
Angelica gives Bette a sideways glance and then focuses on Tina.
(Angelica) Can we stay and watch a movie?
Tina raises her eyebrows and glances at the clock on the wall.
(Tina) It’s pretty late Angie, you have school tomorrow
(Angelica) Please?
Tina looks to Bette and they smile at each other.
(Tina) Would you mind?
Bette gives a small laugh and shakes her head.
(Bette) Of course not, I’d love you to stay
Tina smiles at her and then turns back to Angelica and shrugs.
(Tina) OK
Angelica smiles back at her.
(Tina) Why don’t you two go and pick something to watch
She turns and makes her way to the kitchen and Bette stands, picking up the remaining dishes and smiling at Angelica.
(Bette) I’ll be right in
Angelica nods as she heads to the couch and Bette follows Tina through to the kitchen. She places the dishes on the bench and they turn to each other and smile.
(Tina) I’ll take care of things in here, you go and spend time with Angie
(Bette) Are you sure?
Tina smiles and nods.
(Tina) Yes, she’s obviously missed you a lot, and wants this time with you. I’ll keep myself occupied for a while
(Bette nods) OK
Bette places her hand on Tina’s lower back and they share an affectionate look as she moves away.
Angelica’s eyes dart from her parents in the kitchen and back to the screen as she sees Bette start to move towards the lounge. Bette sits down next to her and smiles at her.

What an interesting turn in this very intriguing story, katynd. Angie’s observations and what she knows about both her parents’ recent and past feelings to each other are important pieces of the puzzle. Hopefully, we’ll find out what really happened between Bette and Tina before the accident and if there’s a chance those hurts can eventually heal and they can rebuild their present-day relationship. I loved Bette and Angie’s wordless but very emotional reunion and Tina joining the emotional family hug.❤ Thank you so much for this lovely, well-written gem, katynd!❤ I don’t even remember the last time I was able to leave a comment to any of your stories but please know that I always read your stories and look out for a new chapter. Before I checked out this latest chapter, I was enjoying rereading “Political Persuasion”. God, I love that story!❤ So many thanks again and enjoy the rest of the day, katynd!:)

Couldn’t have said it better!
I’m dying to know what happened that Bette is supposed to hate Tina.
Although Bette seems to hate Tina for a long time if we have to believe Tina and their friends, she told Angie a lot about their early years, so the love has been buried deep but never went away.
I really hope that when Bette get her memory back they can rebuild their friendship and their relationship.

I didn’t expect that relavation at all! Wow. So Tina keeps her true feelings to herself because she thinks Bette doesn’t like her, Bette tells everyone that she hates Tina. Seems like Angie and Bette have a lot to talk about. I hope that Angie will give Bette more insights to why she “officially” pretends to have moved on from Tina. Maybe she can tell her about her absent girlfriend as well.
Angie could be the key to change her mother’s relationship for the better. Love it!
I’m repeating mysef but this version is so so so good. Really can’t wait for the next chapter.

Really good.
I wonder why Bette projects that she hates Tina too.
Don’t let us hanging too long!
