(Helena) Oh Alice, I didn’t know you were quite so easy

Alice frowns at Dana.

(Alice) That’s not what happened

Dana shrugs and has a sip of her drink, and Alice looks back to Helena.

(Alice) She has won me over though, I have to say. I like her very much

Helena smiles and nods.

(Helena) She has a way of doing that

Helena has a sip of wine.

(Helena) So you don’t have the same concerns for Bette? With the situation?

Alice looks over at Bette and Tina, who are  standing together in the kitchen, both laughing as Bette leans against the bench with her arms wrapped around Tina’s waist.

(Alice) Well, I’m no longer worried that Tina is taking her for a ride, if that’s what you’re asking. But I wouldn’t say I don’t have concerns

She looks back to Helena.

(Alice) It’s more that my concerns are now kind of for both of them

Helena raises her eyebrows and nods. She also looks to Bette and Tina in the kitchen.

(Helena) Right

Later in the evening, they have all moved inside and are sitting around Tina’s living room, surrounding a lopsided coffee table that Alice and Helena have retrieved from Tina’s garage. Bette and Tina sit close together on the couch, Helena and Dana in two armchairs and Shane and Alice on cushions on the floor.

Alice places her drink on the table and watches it slide away. She glances between Helena and Tina.

(Alice) You two must have all sorts of stuff on each other

Helena and Tina share an affectionate look, and Alice looks to Tina.

(Alice) Like I’m sure you’ve seen her drink a beer, am I right?

Tina laughs.

(Tina) Please, I have a photo of her wearing one of those hats with the beers on the side

Helena frowns at Tina and Alice laughs.

(Alice) I would give anything for a copy of that

Helena shakes her head and has a sip of wine.

(Helena) Careful Tina, think about how much I have on you before you decide to go down this path

Tina smiles and raises her hands.

(Tina) Point taken
