Bette looks at her.
(Bette) You’re talking about Julia?
(Kit) Ah, we’ve learned her name have we?
Bette gives a small laugh and Kit looks at her affectionately.
(Bette) I haven’t spoken to her. I’ve sent the occasional text
Bette pauses and has a sip of coffee, and then looks over at her.
(Bette) Am I even in a relationship Kit?
Kit looks back at her.
(Bette) She seems completely unbothered with the lack of contact. I thought this would be harder to keep kicking this along without talking to her, but really, I’ve barely heard from her
Bette raises her eyebrows.
(Bette) I’m not sure she’s that into this either
(Kit sighs) I wouldn’t really know, you don’t talk about her very much
Bette frowns.
(Bette) Isn’t that a bit weird? If you and I are close now? That I don’t talk to you about my girlfriend?
Kit has a sip of her coffee and shrugs.
(Bette) So you don’t really know her?
Kit shakes her head.
(Kit) No, I don’t know her
She shrugs.
(Kit) You brought her to things early on. Dinners, birthdays. She was your date to Tina’s engagement party, that was the first time we all met her
Bette scoffs and has a sip of water.
(Bette) Well that’s convenient
Kit gives a small laugh and then raises her eyebrows.
(Kit) Yeah, maybe
(Bette) But you haven’t seen her recently?
Kit shakes her head.
(Kit) No, not recently
Kit thinks for a moment.
(Kit) I can’t actually remember the last time. So yeah, it’s been a while
Bette nods, and they sit in silence for a moment.
(Kit) You’re thinking it’s not serious?
(Bette sighs) Well, we’re barely in contact. There’s zero evidence of her in this house
Bette shrugs.
(Bette) I think it’s probably a fair conclusion
(Kit sighs) Maybe. But it’s also the first relationship you’ve had in I can’t even remember how long
Kit shrugs.
(Kit) So I guess I’ve assumed there must be something special about it, to be in it at all
Bette studies her for a moment as Kit has a sip of coffee.
(Bette) What about Angie? How does she get on with her? Have I spoken about that?

Tina is running scared, I hope she ends her engagement because it is the right thing to do. I would not want to marry someone who is in love with someone else. I also hope once Bette regains her memory, she remembers the time she spent with Tina. Will be interesting to read which one finally admits to the other they are in love and want them back. Is Bette’s reason because she thinks Tina would be better off with someone else? Looking forward to the next chapter. Love your story
Wow! The plot thickens. Damn you Alice but thank you Alice. They had enough cheating in their past, they have to get together again while clearly being single.
Kit’s take on the situation is very sweet. Getting to know her sister at an age that she previously missed.
Bette seems to be right about Julia. I guess Bette pretended to be with her only to come with a plus one to Tina’s engagement party. I do hope that Angie will be able to shed some more light on Bette’s behaviour towards Tina.
It’s going to be even more complicated now that Tina goes to Toronto. Maybe it’s time for some heartfelt letters from Bette.
Waiting for the next part will be tough! I’m so looking forward to it :)
Wow! Why did Bette just walk away? Why did she not tell Tina she was still in love with her? Tinas basically asked her permission to get married and Bette said nothing? The plot thickens! PPS
Well, I must say that I cannot figure Bette out. What was her thinking not to have a discussion when Tina ask if there was a chance for her and Bette before accepting marriage. Then again, if Tina was going to give Bette another opportunity to be in her life, why accept a marriage proposal with Sarah? Does this not indicate that Tina is not ready for that relationship either? That to me makes not sense either. Tina moving forward with Sarah because when she has feelings for Bette will only lead to heartbreak for both Tina and for Sarah. If I were advising Tina, I would tell her to go do some self evaluation and meditation and not to do anything until Bette has recovered her memory…. nothing with Bette and nothing with Sarah. Bette could regain her memory and conclude that her Tina avoidance was nothing but a façade’. Tina needs to make her choice based on her own happiness and if that means Bette…. it means Bette. But it obviously does not mean Sarah… for she is not “in love” with Sarah.

Yessssssssssssss this episode was EVERYTHING and MORE!!!!! That argument scene was theee best. I love how Bette was challenging her and fighting. She was trying but I understand Tina doesn’t want to get hurt again. I love this story sooo much. I’m always anticipating and counting like ok I think I’m going to see this story title pop up today. Thank you ! I’m ready and patiently waiting for the next chapter.
