Chapter 15 – Family Resolution
Sonny: And some of us are doing some spring house cleaning what looks to be a decade past due.
Kit: I’m sorry Sonny. I just do not know I had managed to squirrel away so much stuff. But we are making good progress. One closet at a time.
Sonny: I’m just worried about those things that you are simply moving from one closet to another for a later decision.
Kit: Well, when I’m on the fence, I just shift to another closet that I haven’t worked on to give it another chance. But believe me, it won’t go to a third closet. If I even think I should give it some more time, well then it needs to go out the door.
Jeanette: I think that is going to be a late spring or early summer project for us. I don’t think we can start anything that time consuming until James gets back from his paternity leave in the spring.
Margaret: Ladies and gentleman, it has been a wonderful day. I’ve enjoyed my time with all of you today, but it is time for me to retire for the evening. Nice to meet you Paris and you too Jeanette. I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow morning.
Kit: Sonny, I think I could use a foot rub myself. Are you ready to retire for the evening?
Sonny: Yes, I am. Maybe I can get the scores on the football games before I go to sleep.
Paris: I think we should probably retire as well. I want to read that report before I go to bed.
Mary: You know, I do too. I think I’ll head up as well.
Bette: Is there anything anybody needs? If you should need something in the middle of the night, call us on our cell. We will respond as quickly as we can.
Tina: Breakfast will be between 8:00 and 9:00. If you are particularly hungry when you wake up, feel free to make you own breakfast. Everyone – sleep well.
Bette and Tina began to clean up the coffee cups and clean the counters and reset the coffee to be ready for the morning. Bette then got the lights and check the doors.
Bette: I wish we had electronic door locks and lights so that I could control that from my cell phone.
