      Bette and Tina’s apartment, Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. Bette is busy with dinner preparations and hears Tina coming through the front door. Tina makes her way through to the kitchen and pauses in the doorway, smiling at her as Bette looks over her shoulder from the stove top and meets her eyes. (Bette smiles) Hi

     

    Bette and Tina’s apartment, Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. Bette is busy with dinner preparations and hears Tina coming through the front door. Tina makes her way through to the kitchen and pauses in the doorway, smiling at her as Bette looks over her shoulder from the stove top and meets her eyes.

    (Bette smiles) Hi

    Tina continues smiling at her as she makes her way over, wrapping her arms around Bette’s waist and kissing her gently on the shoulder.

    (Tina) Hi

    Bette smiles at the contact as she continues stirring the pan. Tina tightens her hold and speaks softly into Bette’s neck.

    (Tina) I will never in my life tire of coming home to you

    Bette smiles.

    (Bette) I’m pleased to hear it

    Bette turns off the element and turns in Tina’s arms to face her. She runs a hand through Tina’s hair as she pulls her towards her for a gentle kiss.

    They both busy themselves with the remainder of the dinner preparations before setting the dining table and sitting down to eat. They sit diagonally opposite each other and are, as usual, in almost constant contact as they share their meal – stroking their fingers along a forearm, placing a hand on a back or on a leg, or entwining their legs under the table and leaning into the other.

    After their meal they settle back with a bottle of wine.

    (Tina) Were you able to book the flights to LA in the end?

    Bette nods as she has a sip of wine.

    (Bette) Yes, I managed to this morning. Arriving on the 17th

    (Tina) Great, thank you

    Bette smiles and sighs.

    (Bette) I can’t wait to see everyone

    (Tina smiles) I’m glad baby, we shouldn’t leave it so long next time

    Bette looks over at her with a teasing smile.

    (Bette) And are we allowed to book accommodation? Or should we just wander the streets of LA with our suitcases?

    Tina smiles and gently slaps her arm.

    (Tina) We can book wherever you like. Though if you want to stay with Alice or Shane for any of the time we’re there go right ahead

    (Bette) Maybe, let’s see what happens

    Tina smiles at her.

    10. katynd, thank you for the final chapter. Everyone living happily ever after. I’m glad you included what happened with Andrew. Despite everything he found true love and got his political ambition. Their conversation didn’t feel like she was ever honest with him before she and Bette took off. He deserved better, but then again deception is how Tina gets her ALL. Great story. Great writing.

    12. Nice story… unusual plot line and like nothing else that has been presented. It has the right amount of mystery and surprises. At any point, there were multiple possibilities as to the direction the plot line could take. Fortunately, you took the plot line direction which gives the Tibette fandom the greatest pleasure and enjoyment. We even feel good about Andrew Rhys-Baker in the end, as he get the life he wants as well. As Bette said “he’s just a nice guy.”

      I am in hopes that you will present more tales. For me, it takes my mind away from the disaster that is on Showtime.

      Easily one of the most delightful story I’ve read. Really liked how U advanced scenes at just the right time. Liked how Tibette ended up outside the US to make their home, with Bette realizing that she needed to defer to Tina and let her have the primary decision on where they should live.

      When Tina arrived home and sashayed to greet Bette in the kitchen with a lengthy hug and squeeze from the back, I thought she was gonna announce that she was pregnant.

      I REALLY like how everyone ended up in a ‘win-win’ finally. Looooved your Alice!! Humor and mischief galor!

      It was classy that Tina & Andrew spoke freely & honestly. I admire Andrew for admitting that he KNEW that Tina would have been a sorrowful, miserable committed wife in name only had they married. I respect him for NOT letting his Mom push him into the marriage that she wanted so that she could brag about the “eye candy” attached to her son’s arm.

      So anyway, I had punched in the 5-star rating from day one. Will re-read the WHOLE story just for the fun of it.
