Chapter 19 (Final Chapter)
Helena smiles as she places her cup back on the table, turning to Alice.
(Helena) Well Alice, would you be there as a journalist? Because I’m not sure I want to be responsible for that
(Alice) No, not as a journalist…
(Dana) No just a run of the mill celebrity stalker
Alice slaps Dana’s arm before turning back to Helena.
(Alice) I’d be on my best behaviour
(Bette) A word of warning Helena, I’ve heard that one before
(Alice) Oh my God you guys are the worst fucking wing women
They all laugh.
(Alice) Besides, any journalist getting through the door would be solely focused on these two
Alice gestures towards Bette and Tina.
(Alice smiles) And look at me here, getting an exclusive
Tina smiles and Bette gives Alice a reproachful look.
(Helena sighs) OK, well I don’t see why not. You can come
(Alice) Oh my God, yay!
(Helena) Please don’t make me regret this decision
(Alice) Oh you won’t, I’m fun at weddings
Bette shakes her head as she meets Tina’s eyes and they smile at each other.
The following Saturday evening, the wedding of Andrew Rhys-Baker and Caroline Tan. The ceremony has taken place and the reception is underway, held in a grand historical building set in beautiful grounds. Much of the formality of the evening has come to an end, and the guests continue to mingle in a cocktail style atmosphere, with a band and busy dance floor to one side of the space.
Bette and Tina have spent much of the evening by each other’s side, but as Tina sets off to greet some members of Andrew’s family they decide it’s best for her to approach that particular task alone.
Bette makes her way to the bar and comes across Helena. They smile at each other as they each take a wine from a tray placed there, and lean back on the bar side by side.
(Helena) So how are you holding up? It can’t be easy, being here
(Bette sighs) No, it’s not. But it was important to Tina to attend, and I wanted to support her
Helena smiles.
(Bette) Andrew’s mother has certainly given me some withering looks throughout the night

Fantastic story!! Bravo!! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!!
katynd, thank you for the final chapter. Everyone living happily ever after. I’m glad you included what happened with Andrew. Despite everything he found true love and got his political ambition. Their conversation didn’t feel like she was ever honest with him before she and Bette took off. He deserved better, but then again deception is how Tina gets her ALL. Great story. Great writing.
Great story, with a great ending!
I hope you post more stories, I enjoy the way you write. Thanks for posting.
Nice story… unusual plot line and like nothing else that has been presented. It has the right amount of mystery and surprises. At any point, there were multiple possibilities as to the direction the plot line could take. Fortunately, you took the plot line direction which gives the Tibette fandom the greatest pleasure and enjoyment. We even feel good about Andrew Rhys-Baker in the end, as he get the life he wants as well. As Bette said “he’s just a nice guy.”
I am in hopes that you will present more tales. For me, it takes my mind away from the disaster that is on Showtime.
Thankyou for this lovely story.
katynd!
Easily one of the most delightful story I’ve read. Really liked how U advanced scenes at just the right time. Liked how Tibette ended up outside the US to make their home, with Bette realizing that she needed to defer to Tina and let her have the primary decision on where they should live.
When Tina arrived home and sashayed to greet Bette in the kitchen with a lengthy hug and squeeze from the back, I thought she was gonna announce that she was pregnant.
I REALLY like how everyone ended up in a ‘win-win’ finally. Looooved your Alice!! Humor and mischief galor!
It was classy that Tina & Andrew spoke freely & honestly. I admire Andrew for admitting that he KNEW that Tina would have been a sorrowful, miserable committed wife in name only had they married. I respect him for NOT letting his Mom push him into the marriage that she wanted so that she could brag about the “eye candy” attached to her son’s arm.
So anyway, I had punched in the 5-star rating from day one. Will re-read the WHOLE story just for the fun of it.
Be Blessed and stay well
