Chapter 19 – The Wilkins and the Prestons
Barbara: I guess that is what credit cards are for. But for a week, we wouldn’t need that much clothing, would we?
Bette: I’m sure that you could use some of your jeans, cargo pants, socks and underwear, shirts which you already have. If you have heavy weight lounging suits, well those will be useful in the evening. But you will need a heavy coat, head gear, gloves, boots for hiking, sweaters and some long sleeve shirts. You dress in layers. You can always remove a layer if you get warm or as the day goes on. But there may be days where the temperature is near or below freezing, and you want to be dressed appropriately particular if you are outdoors in the mountains. You won’t need any dressy clothes. One outfit that would be called country club casual. I am hoping to have our breakfast and dinners in the cabin. But I will work that out. We may have a night where we go to a restaurant. Maybe we have a date night? Mary and Margaret can take the boys to the inn for the story telling night and we have dinner at a nice place with our spouse.
Joe: I like the way you think. I am just picturing us in this cabin, in the jacuzzi, and just having a good time. Are you sure you want us to on this trip with you?
Tina: This trip is for the purpose of giving Daniel some new experiences and to show him the world of nature. But he and John David have become best buds and I know that when we talk to him about it, the first thing out of his mouth will be “Can John David go?” So, we know that you want to spend time with your children and we thought perhaps we just invite the whole family and that way, everyone gets to have the experience.
Barbara: Joe, I can tell you really want to go on this trip. Don’t you want to think about this before you make a decision?
Joe: You mean, that you want to think about it before we make a decision. Well, for the record, I’m interested and I am honored that you have asked us to go. But my better half wants to do some deliberating before we make a commitment. So, thank you for the invitation and we will let you know our response.
