Chapter 19 – The Wilkins and the Prestons

Tina: May I do this one?

    Bette:  Go right ahead.

Tina:  Bette and I have decided to take Daniel to Yellowstone National Park for spring break. Mary, Bette’s mom and Margaret are going with us. And we would like to invite your family to join us for a week in Yellowstone? When I say your family, I mean you Barb, Joe, Joey and John David. Would you be interested in such a trip?

Joe:  Wow, that would be a trip of a lifetime. Honey, do you think we could swing such a trip?

Barbara: Well, we usually try to go beach for spring break. But this sounds intriguing.

Bette: You would go as our guest. I will provide all transportation, accommodations, meals and any tour or activity expenses. I have reservations on a 6 bedroom, 5 bath cabin, with a full kitchen, great room with a fire place and a jacuzzi. It is within walking distance of a large inn which has two restaurants, a bar and some community events area. And since John David and Daniel are going to be together, we would welcome Joey to invite a friend provided that friend can share a room and bath with Joey.  We would then have a full house of 10 people. I would charter a plane to take us to Jackson Hole and then rent two vehicles to transport us to the cabin. I am looking into some private tours. But we may have to break up into two groups to accommodate the rules. Some tours allow only 7 folks max. So, I would book say two of those and group A would go on Monday and group B would go do something else. Then on Tuesday group B would do the tour and group A would do something else. Anyway, we would work out who was in which group and you would have some family time as well as some family and friends time.

Joe: So, you are offering to pay for this trip?

Tina: Well, the other catch is that it will be early spring in Wyoming. That means you will probably need winter clothing as there could be snow on the ground. And my bet is that you do not have a whole lot of winter clothing. So, you would have to acquire those. And this is November. And most stores or on-line outlets remove most of their winter offerings by Christmas. So, if you were to go, you would need to purchase your clothing by Christmas.
