    Author Notes: I was looking through my postings here & noticed that this chapter was somehow missing from this novel, so I've reposted it to be included. It seems like ages ago since this story was first posted. I have edited the other chapters as well & am posting the entire novel on AO3 too. Thanks to all of you who have read the original posting of this story.
    Summary:
    What transpires on the actual day of the election.

    But just when the opportunity had been presented and the timing was in her favor, well simply, she had been outplayed.

    Tina Kennard was back in the picture with Bette and from the way they interacted with each other, it was obvious to anyone that looked, that they were still deeply in love with each other. Maya’s dream of a hot romance with LA’s most eligible bachelorette had come to an abrupt halt. She could tell Bette was once again smitten with her former wife and all indications were that the feeling from Tina was mutual. Maya saw the way that Tina acted towards Bette, like a lover, like a wife. Loving and supportive in her actions.

    The kiss between them that Maya had witnessed last night was the final proof that Bette was now and forever off the market. They had reclaimed each other and this time it looked like for good. Their insistence last night that they were divorced, but just for now, told Maya all she needed to know.

    Maya was left to sigh and regretfully move on. Bette and Tina were once again the golden couple.

    At another area of the large room, Dani and her public relations team were hard at it with working the data and assembling results. She informed Bette several times throughout the evening on the results and where Bette stood on voter percentages. Pierce kept everyone moving and giving directions to many of his people as well.

    A few times, Bette was called away by either Dani or Pierce for a campaign update or to answer questions. That left Tina with an opportunity to meet with her friends and family. They were currently all gathered together at one end of the ball room with drinks in their hands.

    “Hello Tina darling.” Helena welcomed the blonde with a huge smile and a kiss on the cheek. Dylan smiling by her side. “How goes it for Bette?”

    “Hey, everyone.” Tina waved to all gathered. “Good right now. Dani just informed her that she’s actually ahead as we speak.”

    “Terrific.” Shane fist pumped. “We knew she could beat him.”

    “Oh, this isn’t over yet unfortunately.” Tina reminded them. “Only a few districts throughout the city have reported so far. There’s still a long way to go.”

    3. love these two women as you have portrayed them – such selfish love for each other. No one else will ever fill the need- desire in them like they both do for each other.

      I really like the family scenes, especially when Angie is finding her way in the world and her two mom’s are there guiding her along.

        I’m okay – sorta!! Ha!!

        Looks like I have a small fracture in my right shoulder from a fall – oops!! And of course I’m right handed – ha!
        Hopefully I won’t need surgery – follow-up with surgeon in another week.

        Anyway, this was a repost of this original chapter – there are a lot more chapters to this story. They’re listed above in the drop down box. It disappeared from the original listing – not sure why, so I reposted it. So, take a look if you need to catch up to get through the epilogue & sequel chapters.

        The entire novel just needs a final chapter to complete the story.

        I’m actually posting an update to DOH by tomorrow – so look for that.

          Both rotator cuffs have been injured on my “earth suit” and an assortment of aches & pains are hollering a spoiled toddler . . . but what can I do???

            Thanks for asking.

            Fortunately, the doctor discovered that I actually didn’t have a torn cuff – it was a small bones fracture & extreme inflammation with my arthritis in that shoulder.

            So, the pain has decreased & I’m doing mild therapy. So far – good.

            Enjoy that black beauty!!
