    Author Notes: I was looking through my postings here & noticed that this chapter was somehow missing from this novel, so I've reposted it to be included. It seems like ages ago since this story was first posted. I have edited the other chapters as well & am posting the entire novel on AO3 too. Thanks to all of you who have read the original posting of this story.
    Summary:
    What transpires on the actual day of the election.

    Had she done enough to win?

    Or had she done too much damage to win?

    She and Tina would be at her local voting location early this morning so that Bette could provide a short media interview. Bette had actually cast her own vote at the beginning of early voting, so she would not be actually voting this morning. She expected the local media to be there and wanting to get an update from the candidate on her view of her chances of winning. She and Tina would be meeting Dani at the site and PR manager would be assisting with many of the reporters’ questions.

    Bette and Tina would be spending the entire day knocking on doors to encourage people to vote. Dani and Pierce would be monitoring results throughout the day and providing updates to Bette. Dani had set up for Bette to give brief media updates at noon and again at 5pm on voter reactions and exit polls information. Dani would also be updating Bette’s social media sites.

    This afternoon, Bette would be putting finishing touches on her speeches to be delivered this evening. She had prepared both a victory and a concession speech. Naturally, she hoped she would be giving the victory speech, but she needed to be prepared for the worst result just in case.

    Tonight they would all assemble for the outcome of the election.

    But right now, Bette took a deep breath and felt Tina starting to stir beside her. It was still dark outside, the sun not quite at the horizon just yet. She reached for her phone and quickly deactivated the early morning alarm.

    “What time is it?” Tina whispered as she tried to wake up. Her voice still groggy with sleep.

    “It’s still early.” Bette answered as her right arm came to encircle Tina as the blonde shifted in the bed. Bette pulled her close. “Just before six am babe.”

    “God, seems like I just feel asleep.” Tina mumbled into Bette’s shoulder. “How are you doing?”

    “Okay for now.” Bette sighed. “Worried naturally.”

    “Yeah, I know.” Tina rolled onto her back beckoning Bette to lay with her. She opened her arms for the brunette to fill. “Come ‘ere.”

    Bette moved into Tina’s welcoming arms and rested her head on the blonde’s shoulder, her arms snaking around Tina at her waist. They stayed in a tight embrace for a few minutes; each cherishing the closeness and calm. Bette appreciated the connection.

    3. love these two women as you have portrayed them – such selfish love for each other. No one else will ever fill the need- desire in them like they both do for each other.

      I really like the family scenes, especially when Angie is finding her way in the world and her two mom’s are there guiding her along.

        I’m okay – sorta!! Ha!!

        Looks like I have a small fracture in my right shoulder from a fall – oops!! And of course I’m right handed – ha!
        Hopefully I won’t need surgery – follow-up with surgeon in another week.

        Anyway, this was a repost of this original chapter – there are a lot more chapters to this story. They’re listed above in the drop down box. It disappeared from the original listing – not sure why, so I reposted it. So, take a look if you need to catch up to get through the epilogue & sequel chapters.

        The entire novel just needs a final chapter to complete the story.

        I’m actually posting an update to DOH by tomorrow – so look for that.

          Both rotator cuffs have been injured on my “earth suit” and an assortment of aches & pains are hollering a spoiled toddler . . . but what can I do???

            Thanks for asking.

            Fortunately, the doctor discovered that I actually didn’t have a torn cuff – it was a small bones fracture & extreme inflammation with my arthritis in that shoulder.

            So, the pain has decreased & I’m doing mild therapy. So far – good.

            Enjoy that black beauty!!
