    Author Notes: I was looking through my postings here & noticed that this chapter was somehow missing from this novel, so I've reposted it to be included. It seems like ages ago since this story was first posted. I have edited the other chapters as well & am posting the entire novel on AO3 too. Thanks to all of you who have read the original posting of this story.
    Summary:
    What transpires on the actual day of the election.

    “They’re terms of endearment.” Bette wiped her hands on her napkin.

    “They show you love someone and hold them in a special place.” Tina said between bites of her salad.

    “But Jordi and I don’t use them.” Angie told her parents. “Does that mean something bad for us?”

    “Oh, no honey.” Both Bette and Tina reply at the same time. They looked at each other for a moment and Bette gestured for Tina to answer for them.

    “There’s no right or wrong time or any special name to call each other.” Tina smiled at her daughter. “It’s all about what feels good for you both. What comes naturally to you.”

    “Well, I get every nickname in the book.”  Angie moaned.

    “Yeah, young lady.” Bette tilted her head.” We can call you by your proper name if you prefer. Angelica Elizabeth Porter Kennard.”

    “Oooh, that’s worse.” Angie made a face.

    “So out with it.” Bette sighed. “What’s the real reason for all these questions?”

    “Well,” Angie looked down at her hands. “Um… should we be worried if we don’t use any for each other? I mean we just call each other what our family nicknames are. You know – Ang for me and JD for Jordi.”

    “Sweetheart,” Tina place her finished plate atop Bette’s on the coffee table and turned to her daughter. “Lots of people don’t even have nicknames or special names that their girlfriend calls them. It’s all about what feels comfortable for you both.”

    “Do you feel like you don’t like each other anymore?” Bette asked, a bit unsure of what the answer could be.

    “Uh, no.” Angie shook her head. “I still like Jordi and I think she still likes me.”

    “Okay then.” Tina sat forward on the sofa. “Bette and I call each other silly names sometimes when we tease each other. But not everyone is open to do that and it’s okay not to be. It’s whatever you two like for each other.”

    “Well, I hope no one ever calls me ‘Sugar’.” Angie made a face.

    Tina hid her smile with her hands, but Bette couldn’t help to chuckle.

    “Okay ‘Boo’,” Bette teased her daughter to make a point, “your mother and I will make sure that any girlfriend or boyfriend of yours never calls you that.”

    3. love these two women as you have portrayed them – such selfish love for each other. No one else will ever fill the need- desire in them like they both do for each other.

      I really like the family scenes, especially when Angie is finding her way in the world and her two mom’s are there guiding her along.

        I’m okay – sorta!! Ha!!

        Looks like I have a small fracture in my right shoulder from a fall – oops!! And of course I’m right handed – ha!
        Hopefully I won’t need surgery – follow-up with surgeon in another week.

        Anyway, this was a repost of this original chapter – there are a lot more chapters to this story. They’re listed above in the drop down box. It disappeared from the original listing – not sure why, so I reposted it. So, take a look if you need to catch up to get through the epilogue & sequel chapters.

        The entire novel just needs a final chapter to complete the story.

        I’m actually posting an update to DOH by tomorrow – so look for that.

          Both rotator cuffs have been injured on my “earth suit” and an assortment of aches & pains are hollering a spoiled toddler . . . but what can I do???

            Thanks for asking.

            Fortunately, the doctor discovered that I actually didn’t have a torn cuff – it was a small bones fracture & extreme inflammation with my arthritis in that shoulder.

            So, the pain has decreased & I’m doing mild therapy. So far – good.

            Enjoy that black beauty!!
