The family had about an hour to kill between dinner and the fireworks and chose to visit the gift shop and get some souvenirs.  Everyone found the t-shirt they wanted and a ball cap with Universal Studios or something with a logo of their favorite movie. Daniel and John David wanted a golf shirt to wear when they accompanied Joe and Joey on their next outing. Angie and Susanne found a sweat suit to lounge around their dorm room in to study.  Mary and Margaret thought that was a wonderful idea and found a couple of those for themselves.  Bette and Tina decided that a t-shirt and a ball cap was sufficient for themselves. They would wear them on their next walk to beach area.

All the goodies were packaged up and made ready for pickup as they left the park. They were combined with the purchases earlier in the day of their purchases from the Harry Potter section.

Laura then asked that they load up the tram so that they could get a good seat for the fireworks show. The group was excited as there were not many in the park and it felt like a private show created much for them. And they were not disappointed. Laura took them to an area beside a lake which had some aluminum bleachers for the family to sit and what the show. And it was spectacular.  The show lasted about 20 minutes. But it was full of star burst and color with some booms which made the fireworks seem close. Bette pulled Tina close to her with her arm around her shoulder as the coolness of the evening had brought on a chill. Daniel, John David, Angie and Susanne cheered when the rocket burst in streaks of color and pattern they liked. When it was over, Daniel thought it had been spectacular but thought the ones he had seen in New York were even more so. Tina explained that this was a nightly show for Universal Studios and they were not intended for a very large audience, where in New York, it was a twice a year event and intended for millions of people. New York’s budget was simply bigger and they could buy more variety and bigger quantities as the result. She then said that it was still a nice show and good conclusion for their day in the park.
