Chapter 23 – The Wedding
Bette first called Mary.
Bette: Hey, Mary. You guys need to be here a little early. When you get here come to Paris’s office immediately. Get here as quickly as you can. Thanks.
Bette then called Tina.
Bette: Tina, find out if Jeanette has talked to Sonny and Kit about walking her down the aisle. If she hasn’t, you need to call them and get them to meet you at the front door or at the car when Jeanette arrives. You decide. Also, you guys don’t have your bouquets. I’m sending Angie over with them as soon as we can. Don’t leave the house until you have those flowers.
Tina: Yeah, got it. Thanks Bette.
There was a knock on the door. It was James with four bouquets. Two for the brides and two for the brides’ maids. Bette placed them on the sofa. Bette then began to assist Paris with her gown. Paris was running around in her underwear and her nipple covers. Bette was impressed with how physically fit her sister was. Bette retrieved the dress and made sure the zipper was down. This was an elegant trumpet wedding dress. It exuded a hazy softness that comes from the multi-dimensional blend of blooming floral lace applique strewn atop an allover lace layered gown, trailing all the way through the draping chapel train, with a matching floral lace applique trim at the hem. Barely-there spaghetti straps and an illusion mesh neckline trim which added a sultry touch to the wispy look.
After Bette zipped up her dress and straighten out the train and smooth out the skirt, she put Paris in front of the full-length mirror so she could see herself in her dress. It was a perfect fit and a perfect reflection of Paris and her personality. Then there was a knock on the door.
Bette went to see who it was. It was Angie. It was almost 4:30.
Angie: Got here as quick as I could. Oh, Paris, you look beautiful.
Bette: She is a beautiful bride. Now, get these flowers to Tina. She is at Jeanette’s. I have written down the address. They will not leave until you get there. Tell Tina to call me when they get into the car to come to the gallery. We will start our walk down the aisle about 15 minutes after she has left. Now get going. Drive safely dear. Thanks for doing this.
