    (Shane) And your expectations might be a bit off. We’re not in our 20s anymore Tina smiles at her and Shane and Dana get up and gather their things to go. (Tina) You know, you guys haven’t filled me in much on what’s been happening closer to home (Dana) You mean for us? (Tina nods)

    Tina smiles at her and Shane and Dana get up and gather their things to go.

    (Tina) You know, you guys haven’t filled me in much on what’s been happening closer to home

    (Dana) You mean for us?

    (Tina nods) Yeah. Careers, girlfriends, partners

    (Alice sighs) Well careers is boring, let’s do that another time

    Alice points to Dana.

    (Dana) This one is long term attached, you’ll meet her tomorrow night

    Tina smiles at Dana as Alice points to Shane.

    (Alice) This one is a total heartbreaker, literally nothing has changed

    Shane shrugs and Tina smiles at her.

    (Alice shrugs) And I’m dating right now

    Shane and Dana continue to make their way to the door.

    (Alice) See you guys in the morning. Breakfast at the Planet, don’t forget

    They wave their goodbyes and Shane pulls the door closed behind them.

    Tina turns to Alice.

    (Tina) Will Bette be there for breakfast?

    Alice looks at her.

    (Alice) We can ask her I guess

    (Tina) She wouldn’t usually come?

    (Alice) No. If one of you is there the other usually isn’t

    Alice shrugs.

    (Alice) But I’ll ask her

    (Tina smiles) OK

     

    The next morning, the Planet. Bette walks in and approaches a table where Alice, Shane, Dana and Tina are sitting.

    (Bette) Sorry, I know, I’m late

    Tina smiles at her as Bette sits down next to her.

    (Tina) Hi

    Bette stops still and takes in the way Tina is looking at her.

    (Bette smiles) Hi

    They hold each other’s gaze before Bette clears her throat and looks around the table.

    (Bette) So, have you ordered?

    (Alice) Yes, just order yours when they bring our coffees

    Their coffees arrive and Bette adds her order, and they all settle back. Alice glances around the table and grins.

    (Alice) Well, this is fun

    Tina looks around the table and then back to Alice.

    (Tina) When were we last all here together?

    Alice thinks for a moment then shrugs.

    (Alice) No idea

    (Tina) Do you guys miss it? Us hanging out as a group?

    They all glance at Bette. Dana then looks at Tina and smiles.

    (Dana) I think we’re all enjoying the novelty

    1. Great chapter!

      I must say Bette as well Tina handle this pretty good, how horrible it must been for them that Tina forgot 15 years it could turn out positive as they get to know each other again. Whatever happened in the past 15 years maybe they can eventually talk it out and make up.

      For them to be so hostile especially Bette, there must be a reason for it and i really want to know what brought them to that point.

    2. Interesting chapter…. Trying to give Tina some information but not too much so that she doesn’t get overwhelmed.

      My bets are that at this party, she is going to find out something that is probably going to upset her. My bets are that she finds out about the carpenter which sets her head spinning. Could that be what finally broke the two up… Tina just never got over the carpenter and Bette figured out that Tina was never going to forgive her, so they decided to break up? But then why is Bette so bitter and distant? Did they ever reconcile after the carpenter? I guess we will find out soon enough…
