    Chapter 3 – Lets Make a Deal

Bette:  Betty, it’s getting close to lunch.  Why don’t we go on to lunch and you give me a call when the transaction is complete?  We have a bit more shopping to do. We will then come back later today and get the cars.

Betty agreed and told Bette that she too would go to lunch so it would be early afternoon before she would call.

Bette and Tina thanked Betty for her help and went out and got in their SUV and went to find a place to have lunch.

Bette:  How about Mexican?  It has been a long time since we had Mexican?

Tina:   Sure, that actually sounds good to me.

    Bette:  Do you see anything?

Tina:  Okay, my GPS says there is a highly rated Mexican place one quarter of a mile up the road.

Tina gave the direction and they were enjoying their meal within a few minutes.

Bette:  Okay, how about this?  We go check out the gray Fusion. If it checks out, we make the purchase. From there we take this SUV back to the rental place. We have to fill up with fuel first.  Then we take a taxi to the dealership we purchased the two cars at.  We then take one home and then go get the third car and get it to Kit’s then we go to the Planet for dinner with Kit? Or if its early enough, we have a conversation with Kit about Dad’s will and then all go to dinner.

Tina:  Yeah that sounds good. It will save a one trip to the dealership. I’m going to call the kids and check on them. And I am going to tell Angie that it is looking positive that she will definitely be taking her written drivers test on Friday. And she will be going to the doctor tomorrow.

Bette:  Oh my god, I forgot about that. It’s a good thing that Dr. Wilson is an old woman.  I wouldn’t appreciate just anyone looking at my wife’s twat.

Tina:  Well, she going to be looking at my wife’s twat as well! Of course, she might get some new young thing to do the examination instead.

Bette:  You know, I always put my head under the sheet when they are doing that exam. I do not want to see what they doing to me.

    1. Collins,
Isn’t that the way life is? Lots of things going on which requires multi-tasking? My Bette and Tina are on the same page… they have been working at it for more than 20 years. They know what irritates and what soothes the other. They know they have responsibilities for their children. And most of all, they love their choices they have made in life – each other as partners, their professions, and their role as parents. This is a summer of change for these two. New professions, new home and a some what different family structure. The transition from their New York life to a life in California is full and getting Angie ready for Yale is thrown into the mix. Time is limited and what needs to be accomplished is much. And these two women will get it done…

      Thank you for reading.
