    Bette nods and Shane watches her for a moment. (Shane) Do you want to know any details? About her? Or your relationship? Bette looks up at her and then focuses back on her coffee. (Bette) No Shane nods. (Shane) OK Shane has a sip of coffee. (Shane) And Kit’s back over the weekend? (Bette) Ah,

    Bette nods and Shane watches her for a moment.

    (Shane) Do you want to know any details? About her? Or your relationship?

    Bette looks up at her and then focuses back on her coffee.

    (Bette) No

    Shane nods.

    (Shane) OK

    Shane has a sip of coffee.

    (Shane) And Kit’s back over the weekend?

    (Bette) Ah, no actually, I spoke to her last night and asked her not to come

    Shane nods slowly as she examines her.

    (Bette) That’s all pretty complicated, for me

    Shane raises her eyebrows.

    (Shane) Yeah

    Bette has a sip of coffee and Shane watches her.

    (Shane) So who were you thinking might stay with you from Monday? If this is still going on then I mean

    They share a look. Shane smiles and nods as she has a sip of coffee.

    (Bette) What?

    Shane shrugs.

    (Shane) Well Ange will be away, so I guess she’s free to. But what exactly is the plan here?

    Bette looks at her for a moment, deciding how much to share. She then sighs and shrugs.

    (Bette) I plan to fix it

    Shane raises her eyebrows and looks at her for a long moment

    (Shane) Fix it?

    Bette holds her gaze.

    (Bette) I can win her back Shane, I just need some time with her. She’s forgotten what we had I guess, and I can remind her

    Shane looks at her for another moment before placing her mug back on the bench. She looks downwards for a moment, and shakes her head.

    (Shane) Bette, that’s not really…

    (Bette) I know she’s engaged, and that I’m in this relationship too

    She shrugs.

    (Bette) But I don’t even know who those people are . And honestly it doesn’t even matter. We belong to each other , not to them

    They hold each other’s gaze for a moment.

    (Bette) I just want to spend some time with her

    A notification comes through on Bette’s phone and she turns her attention to it, and Shane continues watching her.


    That evening, Tina arrives and Bette answers the door, and they both make their way to the kitchen. Shane smiles at them from her position at the bench as they enter from the hallway.

    (Shane) Hey

    2. So Bette is going to try to win Tina back, despite Tina having a fiancee and Bette a relationship with Julia, good for her, they belong together and if this is the way to rediscover each other, I’m totally for it.

      Why do i have the feeling Alice can’t keep her big mouth shut and will tell Julia?

      Great story, look forward to read the next chapter!

    3. I’m a little concerned for Bette and her future possibility with Tina. Nice to have a goal, but before she starts to put any thing into motion, she needs to know the general environment she is working in and what it is that everyone else knows that she does not. That is what broke them up and what has kept them apart for the last 15 years? My fear is that they are going to be get hurt and without a good reason except that Bette is being who she was some 15 years ago.. What ever has happened is still apart of their history and has had its impact even if Bette does not remember. So unless this condition is going to be permanent, Bette needs to proceed slowly with her decisions and objectives. And the doctors say it will not be permanent.

      Thanks for the chapter…. it is getting interesting.

    4. I am looking forward to the next chapter to read what happened between them. Bette didn’t want any type of relationship with Tina before her accident. I hope the current partners stay away for a while.
