    -O Dane, that’s not bad is it, you’ll get to meet some of Alice’s friends, isn’t that what you wanted? To really get to know her? 

    -Yes I did, but then that happened. 

    Dana looked at the kitchen

    -What happened? 

    -Her ex walked in the room.

    -Her ex?

    -Yeah, they dated like three years ago only for six weeks

    Tina started grinning 

    -Hey, don’t laugh, because once you see her you’ll notice it’s a really intimidating woman

    -Woman? Tina couldn’t stop smiling at her friend

    -Look I know it’s been a long time and it probably was nothing serious, but still Tina, you should see her, if you knew she dated a guy you were into you’d feel the same way. 

    -I’m sure Tina grinned again

    But honey, you’re amazing, and if it’s been such a long time it probably doesn’t matter. 

    Dana nodded and was surprised when Alice kissed her cheek. 

    -Hi, I’m Alice, you must be Tina. 

    -Yes, hello, thank you for the invitation.

    -Sure thing, we would have met eventually right? 

    -Right Tina said, looking at Dana and trying to say ‘You see, don’t worry’ but that was kind of hard to just do that with her eyes. 

    -Tina, I don’t want to be rude but I actually came to take Dana with me and introduce her to some of my friends that are on the track team at college. But go to the kitchen and get yourself a drink and mingle. 

    Tina walked towards the kitchen. She looked around the table at the counter trying to figure out what kind of poisons they had prepared. She took a cup and wanted to get some of the red punch that seemed the most like something she had drank before. She needed to walk back to the beginning of the counter to get the punch and passed the fridge, where someone had been leaning into, seemingly trying to find a treasure. 

    -You okay in there? Tina asked.

    A tall brunette got out of the fridge.

    1. These two are just not right… starting a friendship when one wants more than and continuing this relationship without sex for a decade? A severe mental deficiency in both of them….
