Bette:  Really?

Tina:  Yeah – and it’s all so natural and not some act.

Bette: So, all my bad behavior was hormonal?

Tina:  I wouldn’t go that far!  But there is a possibility that you are mellowing shall we say in your emotional responses?  At least so far.

Bette:  Wow. This menopause thing could be a really good thing. No periods, a mellowing personality and the best sex of my life!

Tina (laughing):  Well, that is how it’s starting.  Let’s just wait and see how it goes. I’m sure we are going to see a few other side effects which may not be as pleasing. I’m not looking forward to a lack of lubrication or the hot flashes. From what I have heard, those are not very pleasant. We better start shopping for some lube.

Bette:  Make sure to get some that taste okay.  I really do not want to be poisoned and I don’t want us to be turned off by bad taste either. Oral sex is my favorite and I love giving as well as receiving and I really do not want to give that up.

Tina:  We will not be giving that up!  We may just have to apply lube after we are finished with our oral stimulation. Dr Wilson said that for most its reduced production not the elimination of production of natural lubricants. Besides, saliva is a natural lubricant and that production will not be reduced!

Bette: Uhm, sounds good to me. How are you doing with all of this T.?

Tina:  Well, I knew this would happen someday. I was just caught off guard when she said we both were headed in that direction. Actually, I am kind of glad that I am. I get to share in these changes with you at the same time. We will be going through this together and we will know exactly what the other is feeling and experiencing. There’s nothing like first-hand knowledge.

Bette: Oh yeah, we start together and hopefully we will finish together! I find it remarkable that we are actually doing this together and it’s not like we planned it.  It’s just happening. Amazing.

Tina:  Yes, it really is. Just another sign of how truly bonded we are. Menopause together! Who knew?
