    Chapter 5 – The Vows

“Al, you know how much you mean to me, right? To us? How appreciative I am that you never deserted me? I’m so happy that you’re going to be part of it. Bette and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

“Good thing because I’m still pissed about the first wedding.” Both women laughed, Alice’s a bit more sarcastic than Tina’s. “But I have always said you two belong together, and you both seem so, so happy. Like so much better. It’s inspiring, really.”

Tina embraced Alice to both console and thank her before trying to lighten up the moment. “Speaking of belonging together. Tasha! You should totally take advantage of that circumstance. Maybe that’s why we got stuck in the fridge.” Tina tried to wink and as annoyed as Alice was at Tina’s persistence about Tasha, she was more amused by the blonde’s cute double blink.

In the living room, Bette was finishing reapplying her mascara at the makeup table, while Shane fluffed out her hair. “Alright, you are gorgeous, gorgeous! Time for the pants.”

Shane held out Bette’s suit and admired the silky grin Bette seemed to have permanently adorned on her face. Shane couldn’t help but smile herself and as Bette slipped her long legs into the pants, she commented on Shane’s attention.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

    “Like what?”

“Like it’s twenty years ago and you’re about to offer some Yoda-like advice.”

Shane laughed. “Wow I haven’t heard that in a while.” She shook her head pinching her lips together before continuing. “I just, I actually never thought we’d be here to be honest, but I am so, SO happy that we are. You and Tina are just like..made for each other, you know?”

Bette brought Shane into a big hug before changing into her jacket. “I do. And thank you because I know you and Alice never gave up hope.”

“Never.” Shane squeezed Bette a little tighter. “K, let’s get you married woman!”

Bette buttoned the long jacket just as Bella and Angie bound into the suite.

“Hey! Everyone ready?” Angie yelled upon entering.

“Hi Bella, we’re so glad you could come!” Bette cuddled Angie into her side, careful not to wrinkle their outfits. “You look beautiful, Ang.”

    1. Lovely chapter… thanks for writing it… I wish this had been what was shown of Gen Q…. without the surrounding drama with the cake, etc. This was a moment that belong to Bette and Tina and to us the viewers…

      Thanks for this rewrite…

    2. Wonderful chapter, i agree with Martha, this is how the wedding should have been. So happy you brought Helena and Peggy in this chapter.
Will you write a chapter with the reception? Would love to see them interact with Helena and Peggy.

    3. Much, much better. We deserved some Tibette romance, flirting, and a much happier occasion. I also would have loved to seen Helena and Peggy at the ceremony. Thanks.
