“You do too, Mom! Whew glad we saw you first. Is T better?”

“Oh she’s much better now.” Bette smugly looked at Shane who was making a hip gesture in the mirror.

“Hi Shane.” Bella nervously waved.

“Hello Bella.” Shane tilted her head and nodded at Angie’s friend.

“Where is mom?”

“With Alice, getting dressed in the bedroom. Why don’t you go check on them?” Bette nodded towards the other room and fixed the cuffs of her sleeves. She eyed Bella following Shane to sit on the couch, amused at the young girl’s apparent crush.

Angie knocked on the bedroom door before going in. “Mom?”

“Hi honey. Oh you look nice!”

“Wow, Mom! So do you!”

Tina did a quick little dip and spin for her daughter.

“B told me to come check on you.”

Alice’s response overflowed with excitement. “She’s ready! But wait! I want to be out there when you see each other for the first time in your wedding fits.”

“Yea, me too!”

“Ok, I’ll introduce you. Tina, wait here.” Alice gathered a few things as Tina did one final look over.

“Guys come on. I’ve seen Bette all morning.”

“Yeah, we kno—-“

“Nope.” Angie shook her head at Alice, not wanting to think about the shower scene.

Angie and Alice mumbled to each other quietly as they went back to the living area. Tina took a few concentrated breaths watching them go.

“Alright lovebirds are we ready?” Alice skipped into the room with a double take at Bella who was sitting quite close to Shane.

“Alice, this is Bella.”

“Hey Bella!”

“Ohh, fun aunt! I love your dress!”

“Aww thanks! And I am! I am the fun aunt. Bet she didn’t say that about you, Shane.”

“No, no she did not actually.” Bette and Shane shared a knowing glance.

“Ok, ok. Bette are you ready to meet your bride?”

Bette gazed behind Alice, her voice becoming a mere ting ringing in Bette’s ear. She glided by her to Tina as if weightless, the vision in red velvet luring her in to their own aura, everyone else seeming to disappear from the room.

Tina giggled nervously as Bette approached.

“Tina! I wanted to introduce you!” Alice pouted.

“Sorry I couldn’t wait any longer.” Tina’s eyes focused on Bette. She felt her heart flutter when she saw how stunning she looked in her black suit. She could barely divert her eyes from Bette’s beautiful face to scan over her body, but when she did she saw the silver lace bra that would be tantalizing her until much later in the evening. Tina sharply inhaled when Bette grabbed her hands.
