Chapter 8
***
Tina served Henry dinner on the private patio of her condo which faced the beach. They enjoyed the meal she’d prepared, drank wine and had light conversation. When they finished eating Tina got up from the table and sat on Henry’s lap. She closed her eyes and touched his face and felt the rough stubble of his five o’clock shadow. She couldn’t help but think of Bette’s beautiful smooth skin but she blocked it out of her mind convincing herself that she wanted this.
Henry sat still as she moved her hands to his shirt and unbuttoned it to bare his shoulders and chest. She ran her hands over his hairy freckled shoulder then tangled his chest hairs with her slim fingers. She gasped as she reacquainted herself with the feel of the muscular male torso. She was getting turned on. Tina kissed Henry passionately letting her tongue slip into his open mouth and without much preamble deepened the kiss; liking the roughness of it.
Henry’s hands started to roam up and down her thigh then moved to the leg openings of her shorts. He got up and secured her legs around his waist as he easily carried her to the master bedroom. He sat her down on the edge of the queen sized bed and watched her watching him as he removed his shirt. He was wearing a pair of summer shorts and his manhood was already straining against the thin fabric. From her sitting position on the bed Tina had a bird’s eye view. She involuntarily licked her lips as her eyes roamed up his body then stopped to meet his gaze.
Henry got down on his knees between Tina’s legs. She lay back on her elbows and lifted her butt so he could remove her shorts. She wasn’t wearing a bra under the tank top and was wearing lacy black thong panties. Tina sat up again and Henry buried his face between her breasts. This time it was Henry’s turn to gasp and lick his lips as he got a whiff of her fragrance. His hands continued the exploration at they freely roamed down her body. He moved his fingers to the waist band of her thong and pulled slightly as he tried gently to push her back unto the bed. Henry lowered his head to kiss Tina’s stomach then still pushing gently he tried to get access to her center. Tina surprised him when she jerked his head up by pulling on his hair.

Wow, thank you, two chapters in less than 24 hours; well Bat, Tina doesn’t get her answers, but at least she is comparing. I think that perhaps her problem is not about sex with men or women, but with Bette, and not exactly sex; she said doesn’t want to hurt her ex-partner but she really does it; Tina is caged in Bette’s circle; she needs her ‘own’ friends, out of it; no even other lesbians, (probably the lesbian world at WE-HO is small and interconnected). I believe Tina possibly feel her guilt, and suffocation, and probably alone, (I’m just thinking). I like a lot this chapter and at the same time it is very painful (believe me, I’m not masochist); but I am discovering and understanding more about the dysfunctional issue between them. Thanks and pps
proteonomics. I will be posting extra chapters this weekend, because I have the time and the chapters are ready, but also because I will be traveling for business four days next week and won’t have access to my computer to make any regular posts. You can read them all at once or save them to read next week.
Yes, Tina’s issue has little to do with sex as she is coming to realize, but I wanted to give her a compassionate man to do her exploration with rather than someone like Josh. That’s why I made Henry a friend and confidant in this story prior to them becoming sexually involved. She really is taking the wrong approach but I don’t think she knows what to do, and Bette basically kicking her out of the house and telling her to figure things out on her own didn’t help matters. .
Hey Bat, to have you post another chapter so soon is really great, even if I don’t like the context of this chapter, which I should assure you has nothing to do with your writing talent. Tina really seems more than confused to me and should consider talking to some professional. Whatever Tina is looking for I don’t think that she will be able to find those answers by trying to force a relationship with Henry – she doesn’t to me seems ready to date him – and he is setting himself up to some major heartache. Please don’t take my next comment the wrong way – but when Tina wanted him to have sex with her he declined and stated that he wanted to date her, but right at the next day they ended up having sex together?! As for their ‘family’ it’s going to be hard for them to not take sides, it sure is going to get awkward should Tina decide to join their family activities with her ‘boyfriend’ so soon after ending her marriage with Bette – so she either has to attend without Henry or she is going to stay away, either way this means she is going to distance herself from her longtime friends and that’s definitely not healthy. How come Tina didn’t have any friends of her own when meeting Bette? She had been in L.A. for some time working in the movie business, there must have been people she considered friends. Sorry but it’s something I always wondered about while watching the show. But enough – waiting patiently for your next post.
as1219 – I will be posting several chapters this weekend, to make up for not being able to post next week due to my travel schedule so you can read them all or save some for next week.
I agree it was unusual that Tina didn’t have friends of her own, which is part of the reason why I made Henry a friend before they became lovers. Secondly yes it did seem odd that he declined the sex the night before then slept with her the next evening but they did ‘technically go on a date’. However, that wasn’t the point. There were a couple of reasons why he held off. First he did not want to have sex with her while she was drunk. Secondly knowing her agenda he didn’t want to be used for sex just to satisfy her need to explore her ‘feelings for men.’. When he said he wanted to date her, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to have sex with her; it meant he wanted it to mean something and by asking her to date he could at least feel like she had feelings for him. I will address this night in a later chapter because I felt they did need to talk about it after they both had a chance to process it.
