    (Bette) I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy with a person. I just can’t get enough of her Shane nods and has a sip of her drink. (Shane) And what about the situation? The casual side of things. How’s that sitting with you? (Bette) Right now, I’m just treating it as in the moment,

    (Bette) Right now, I’m just treating it as in the moment, as she does. I’m just going with it, because at this moment in time it feels like the absolute best thing that’s ever happened to me

    (Shane) That’s how she describes it? What this is for her? In the moment?

    (Bette nods) Yes. She’s like that generally really. In the moment. She’s open-minded, and impulsive, and she values change. Likes trying different things. Her whole attitude is infectious. I just can’t get enough of being around her

    Shane nods and has a sip of beer.

    (Shane) Do you think there will come a point where you’ll want more?

    Bette shrugs.

    (Bette) Don’t know

    Shane laughs.

    (Shane) Is this the new you? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so relaxed about something that seems pretty uncertain

    (Bette smiles) I don’t know, maybe. Being around her is certainly having an effect on me.

    Bette has a sip of beer.

    (Bette) I agree though, I would have thought I’d be a ball of anxiety here, but, I don’t know, there’s something about her

    Bette looks over at her and smiles.

    (Bette) All I feel is calm when I’m with her. Like it’s exactly where I’m supposed to be, and I’m not questioning that or wondering about the future

    Bette shrugs.

    (Bette) I’m just trying to take it as it comes and enjoying it for the wonderful thing it is. I’ve got no idea what the future holds and right now that doesn’t bother me in the slightest

    Shane smiles.

    (Shane) Well I have to say I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this excited about anything that you’ve had with someone before

    (Bette smiles) I know. And it’s more than just how it feels being with her. There are no expectations or responsibilities or pressure. We don’t need to do anything, but we want to, and so we are

    Bette shrugs.

    (Bette) I’m loving it

    Shane smiles.

    (Bette) It’s as if we’ve taken everything I like about casual arrangements, and the few things I appreciate about being in a relationship – taken those things and only those things and that’s what we’re doing

    1. It’s a great story and i love the development of it.

      It’s casual and both are fine with it, i do wonder when one of them is going to expect more. Because let’s be honest it already seems like a real relationship to me.

      Looking forward for the next chapter!

    4. Okay… so this is a relationship which is not a relationship??? Well, I guess that works great… at least for now. So there are no ties and exclusivity… no long term planning depending on how you determine what long term is. And most of all no commitment. Just do what feels right for the moment… okay… And I guess if there is ever a conflict, well, just deal with it in moment on an individual basis. Sharing of one’s life is not required, purely voluntary. Input or advice from one another is not require… as there is no relationship. And as long as you both play within the boundaries, life is good. Okay… So why the jealousy from Miss Tina in the prior chapter??? Me thinks that the desire for a commitment is not that far away from either of them.
