Chapter 91 – Boss Me Around in the Bedroom

Everyone sat on the half-moon couches or cocktail stools that filled the green room and there was a slight pause in the chatter.
Bette cleared her throat and raised her bottle. “To Kit and the Stouts.”
“Cheers!” Everyone hailed.
“Aaron,” Bette began. “I’m not really sure why you think you’re here, but I suppose I’ll let you give your pitch.”
Aaron looked worriedly at Tina. “Well, Bette. As you can see, all of Alphaville’s A&R reps are here with us tonight because we really feel like Kit and the Stouts deserve the best in this business.”
When Bette didn’t say anything, Aaron chuckled nervously and continued.
“I mean, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how fantastic Tina is at her job. Her most recently signed artist has the number one single in the country right now.”
“I’m aware of that. And, I know that Tina is amazing at what she does. I just don’t see how having a band with the number one single on the charts is any indication that Alphaville is the right fit for the Stouts.” Bette responded.
“It’s quite simple, Bette. We are your marketing machine. We build your following. Your network. We have the contacts in this business to really help launch the Stouts bright burning star into the universe that is the music industry.”
“I know a thing or two about marketing, Aaron. And the industry has changed. New artists don’t need big labels to help build their following anymore. You should know that. I mean, did you see the crowd tonight? That wasn’t a fluke. Kit and the Stouts have a following that they have created from the ground up. Sure, it helps that Kit has name recognition because she had a pretty successful career a number of years ago. But this new wave of fans happened because they work their asses off, not because they need help marketing themselves.”
“Tell you what. We can offer a very lucrative recording deal for the band if you guys want to put out a couple more albums in the next two years.”
“They are already signed to a label, Aaron.”
“What? What do you mean?”
“Fierce Kitty. That is the label they signed with.”
“Bette, come on. No one has heard of Fierce Kitty.”

Are you serious?! An epilogue? Wow! Feels like a belated b-day presi, no matter when it’ll be finished 8-) Oh and MeLL….feel hugged in thanks in advance.
Haven’t read your final yet. As soon as I read “feel free to leave some scenarios” my mind started firing off snippets of scenes. Let’s see if I come up with something useful.

The different setting you put T + B and all the other characters in worked just beautifully. Music as the theme for your story was a brilliant idea. It made the connection that Bette and Tina share even more special. Not only their love for music and their shared interests in music but also the songs you wove into the story made PBH my no. 1 on my Top Ten list for some years now.
So thanks again for all the time you devoted to create this amazing story :-)
As for ideas for an epilogue. I have a few but the one thing I would love to read about would be a Grammy. A Grammy for best song for Bette (and maybe Kit) would tie up the loose end of the story of her dad. She could mention him in her acceptance speech.

A Grammy award is a great idea kiwipit, Helena buying Fierce Kitty and putting Tina in charge and getting rid of that jerk Aaron before he causes the label millions in sexual harassment suits. B & T married and extremely happy would be a great start to the next part of the journey.
I’m with everyone, this story needs an epilogue and whatever you’ll be writing will be amazing I’m sure of it !
As for another story, I hope you already have something in mind because I’ll miss your posts.

Now that I was finally able to savour the end of your story, I also feel that this so called last chapter is obviously the beginning of a sequel ! So, yes, yes and yes, you need to work to bring us, your faithful and delighted readers, the next adventures of Little P, her T, Kit and The Stouts… and all the sharks around them ;-)
I can really picture my dearest B&T sharing a loving cat walk on the red carpet of any Grammy Award evening !

Ahh one of my friends have told me about this fic. I’m sad to say I haven’t finished yet but the name of this chapter has me I honestly love how you have written Bette and Tina in all your other fics you’re truly one of my favourite writers and your fics are honestly some of my favourites I can’t wait to read more of this although I will be sad when it ends. But I can’t wait for more future fics. Thank you for writing as I love reading your work you’re amazing
Tina being the boss and they are so freaking cute in this fic Tina peppering her faces in kisses calling her baby because she’s going to Austin with her oh they can’t be apart ever. I’m so sad this has ended but I love it so much I’m going to reread it. A sequel would be so amazing one day though of Tina buying it and it would be sweet seeing Bette working for her the fun they would get up too but thank you I can’t wait for what your next fic will be
