“Tina that would be marvelous. I’d like to keep them entertained while they are here this summer. Tell me a little more about this sleep-away camp that Angie and her friends go to.”

“Grandma it was so much fun; and I didn’t get scared right Momma.” Angie said proudly.

“No, Angel you were a big girl for your mommies and we’re very proud that you spent the two weeks.” Bette smiled at her daughter then turned to answer Peggy’s question. “Peggy, the camp is in northern California about a 2-hour drive from Monterey. Last year Angie went with Suzie, Sophie and Jackie. You met them all at the wedding.”

“Yes. I remember the girls. They were so adorable.”

“Sophie’s mom Lisa arranged everything. She stayed in a hotel close by for the first week just in case any of them got homesick, but I guess being together gave them courage and they really enjoyed themselves. Our entire group of family and friends went up for the weekend to celebrate Angie’s birthday at the campsite and that was a lot of fun too. They all want to go back this year so we’re probably going to send them for two weeks in July.”

“That sounds really wonderful. Wilson? Jang Yin? Do you think you might like something like that? Have you been to a sleep-away camp before? I don’t recall if your mom ever sent you.”

“I’ve been camping with my friends and we’ve spent a couple of nights, but I’ve never done a sleep-away camp. Hey, Angie, did they have horseback riding, and canoeing? Wilson asked.

“They did, and we also played sports and we did art. Jackie and I acted in a play. Suzie and Sophie sang. We did all kinds of fun stuff. At night we sat by the campfire and everyone told stories and we toasted marshmallows and made s’mores.

“I think I would like to go Grandma. I could be the big brother for all the girls, and then they won’t get scared.”

“I want to go too Grandma. I could be the big sister.”

“That is so sweet of you two. I like that you want to look out for younger girls.”

    1. Wow….what a surprise. Peggy moving to LA and putting Bette into position that Helena once occupied? I think I would want to know more about what is going on with Helena. She has a strong vengeful streak and she will take action, How is she living at the moment? Her father’s inheritance? Can she cause Bette and Tina future trouble?
How is Tina going to respond to this new offer Peggy is making? How is this going to impact the family really in time and being away from the family. Of course it will mean an extra paycheck….

This is most intriguing. Have they now moved into the beach house? Or is this spring break or something?

Love Peggy….she is one of a kind. I love that she is so close to Bette. It looks like Helena deepest fear has become a reality. Bette has become the daughter and Helena is the outcast.

Love this story……can’t wait for more.

    2. Great! As you know I love Peggy and am happy to read of her plans.
Need to now know of Helena’s current status and am a little concerned as I also had great affection for her when she was not being destructive to TiBette.
I will, however, leave it to your storytelling talent and look forward to the ride.

Thanks for bringing this story back
