Chosen Family
“James and Lisa are probably going to send their son Joey this time. He was only 3 so they didn’t send him last year. They might only do one week for him. Wilson maybe you could look out for Joey too.”
“I can do that Auntie Bette. I like playing with little kids sometimes.”
“I could be the big sister for Joey Momma.”
“I think that’s a great idea Angie. You really want to be the big sister for Joey?”
“Yeah. I can make sure he doesn’t get scared. I can help Wilson.”
“Joey and Wilson will be in different cabins for the boys and also separated by age but you’ll all still see each other during the day time. You can sit together at the campfire at night so yeah if you could be the big sister. That would really help Joey not to be scared.”
Bette notices that Angie is beaming at the prospect of protecting her ”little brother”. She saw it as a good sign that maybe they were making progress with the idea of a sibling. Having Wilson and Jang Yin around may be a good for Angie.
“Peggy, I will organize everything with Lisa and James and the other parents. We’ll get Wilson and Jang Yin registered as well. We just need your consent as their guardian.”
“I’ll sign whatever you need, and don’t worry about making flight arrangements. My private jet will be at your disposal so we can fly everyone there and back.”
“Peggy that would be awesome. Thank you.”
“You better get used to it Tina. Grandma Peabody and her family always travels in style.” Peggy says with a wink.
“I’ve had a taste of the Peabody Jet. Believe me it won’t take any effort to get used to it, but we really do appreciate your generosity Peggy.”
“It’s my pleasure dear. So, I think we’ve planned a pretty exciting summer for you kids. We have camping, cooking classes, and of course the trips to San Diego, and Disney and all the theme parks. Maybe after camping we can take advantage of being up north and do Yosemite or some other attractions in that area.
“We can’t forget my birthday party on the beach.”

Wow….what a surprise. Peggy moving to LA and putting Bette into position that Helena once occupied? I think I would want to know more about what is going on with Helena. She has a strong vengeful streak and she will take action, How is she living at the moment? Her father’s inheritance? Can she cause Bette and Tina future trouble?
How is Tina going to respond to this new offer Peggy is making? How is this going to impact the family really in time and being away from the family. Of course it will mean an extra paycheck….
This is most intriguing. Have they now moved into the beach house? Or is this spring break or something?
Love Peggy….she is one of a kind. I love that she is so close to Bette. It looks like Helena deepest fear has become a reality. Bette has become the daughter and Helena is the outcast.
Love this story……can’t wait for more.
Great! As you know I love Peggy and am happy to read of her plans.
Need to now know of Helena’s current status and am a little concerned as I also had great affection for her when she was not being destructive to TiBette.
I will, however, leave it to your storytelling talent and look forward to the ride.
Thanks for bringing this story back
