“I do. I had to learn the hard way, but I will never lose sight of what’s important ever again. Those two beauties upstairs are my life. I live and breathe for them. Honestly Peggy, I don’t think I could be any happier than I am right now.”

“I’m happy for you dear. You do have a wonderful partner in Tina. She complements you and your daughter is the perfect combination of your best traits. She was so welcoming to Wilson and Jang Yin. I can’t believe how quickly they bonded after just a few conversations on the phone over the past few months. Watching them tonight it was hard to believe they were meeting for the first time. I almost envy them their summer plans and the birthday party is going to be spectacular.”

“We’ll make it special, but we don’t want to go overboard. We like to keep Angie grounded so she doesn’t take things for granted. Being our only child and having all these doting aunts and her uncle James makes it a bit challenging sometimes and now we’ve added her cousin David and his wife Gina, not to mention Grandma and an older brother and sister? Believe me that kid is in heaven. She loves being the center of attention and let me warn you; she will charm you into doing just about anything for her.”

“Kind of reminds me of someone else I know.” Peggy smiles knowingly at Bette.

“You can’t be talking about me?” Bette responds innocently.

“Oh, you were and still are a charmer Bette. I was under your spell from the day I met you.”

“Now who’s the charmer? I guess it’s mutual. I felt great affection for you from the time we met too.”

Peggy hooked elbows with Bette and started moving down the sidewalk. “Why don’t we take that walk. I’ll tell you what I have in mind. I know your curiosity must be killing you by now.”

“That’s an understatement. You were so vague on the phone. You are always so full of surprises I never know what to expect.”

“Well you know I retired about 10 years ago and left Helena in charge of the Peabody Foundation only to come back several years later after her disastrous reign. It’s taken me a few years, but I think I finally have a handle on things. I’ve made some major decisions about my future and that of the foundation.”

    1. Wow….what a surprise. Peggy moving to LA and putting Bette into position that Helena once occupied? I think I would want to know more about what is going on with Helena. She has a strong vengeful streak and she will take action, How is she living at the moment? Her father’s inheritance? Can she cause Bette and Tina future trouble?
How is Tina going to respond to this new offer Peggy is making? How is this going to impact the family really in time and being away from the family. Of course it will mean an extra paycheck….

This is most intriguing. Have they now moved into the beach house? Or is this spring break or something?

Love Peggy….she is one of a kind. I love that she is so close to Bette. It looks like Helena deepest fear has become a reality. Bette has become the daughter and Helena is the outcast.

Love this story……can’t wait for more.

    2. Great! As you know I love Peggy and am happy to read of her plans.
Need to now know of Helena’s current status and am a little concerned as I also had great affection for her when she was not being destructive to TiBette.
I will, however, leave it to your storytelling talent and look forward to the ride.

Thanks for bringing this story back
