    “Like what?”

“I’m getting on in age. I’m too old to be jet setting around the globe overseeing the world-wide operations so in the last year or so I have divested myself of all the Peabody holdings except for the Peabody Arts Foundation. That has always been my baby and I want to hold on to it. I’ve established trust funds for the children. Angie and your future children included. I’ll take time with you and Tina to go over the terms and you’ll have copies of all the legal papers.”

Bette stopped walking and turned to face Peggy. “I can see the protest forming on your lips. It’s already a done deal and my will has also been updated so save it. We’ll talk about all that another time. I want to tell you my plans. OK?”

“OK for now. But we will talk about it later. So, what are your plans?”

“I’m relocating the Peabody Arts Foundation headquarters from New York to Los Angeles. The New York Peabody Art Gallery will remain in the hands of the current management. They are doing a fabulous job and managing very well. I’m selling the L.A. gallery and we might move some of the art to New York, but I’d really love if you would help me with that. I also want to give you first choice if there are any pieces or any artists that you want to move to the Bette Porter Gallery.”

“Wow this is major Peggy. I’ll be more than happy to help you divest of the L.A. gallery. Kristen and I can view the work and arrange to talk to the artists. Some might be ready for New York, while others might want to stay on the west coast or maybe do a combination of both. We’re more than happy to do that. So, you’re moving headquarters for the foundation to Los Angeles?”

“Yes. I’ve decided to relocate to LA myself and make this my base of operations. I really want to spend my golden years in the warm LA sunshine. The NY winters are getting unbearable for me. I really love it here, especially now that I can be close you and your family.”

    1. Wow….what a surprise. Peggy moving to LA and putting Bette into position that Helena once occupied? I think I would want to know more about what is going on with Helena. She has a strong vengeful streak and she will take action, How is she living at the moment? Her father’s inheritance? Can she cause Bette and Tina future trouble?
How is Tina going to respond to this new offer Peggy is making? How is this going to impact the family really in time and being away from the family. Of course it will mean an extra paycheck….

This is most intriguing. Have they now moved into the beach house? Or is this spring break or something?

Love Peggy….she is one of a kind. I love that she is so close to Bette. It looks like Helena deepest fear has become a reality. Bette has become the daughter and Helena is the outcast.

Love this story……can’t wait for more.

    2. Great! As you know I love Peggy and am happy to read of her plans.
Need to now know of Helena’s current status and am a little concerned as I also had great affection for her when she was not being destructive to TiBette.
I will, however, leave it to your storytelling talent and look forward to the ride.

Thanks for bringing this story back
