Emma pushes her shoulder into Taylor’s giving it a slight nudge “Pretty sweet family you have there Huntington”
Taylor curls her lips into a smile. “Yeah they are. And of course there is my girlfriend Rachel. She’s coming to see me Saturday and hope you will get to meet her”
Emma nods and chuckles “Cool. Do we need to have something on the door signaling for me not to disturb your romantic tryst”
Taylor slaps her playfully on the arm “No way..Besides I will be staying with her. She’s getting a room”
“Well at least I won’t have to say ‘Get a room’ to you two. I can just say ‘Go to your room’” she chuckles trying not to feel a little jealous. She figured it was going to be harder to bury her growing feelings for Taylor than she thought.
Taylor laughed “You are such a goob” she joked feeling confused over why it was bothering her to be talking about Rachel in front of Emma.
Emma smiled weakly wanting to change the subject and then she remembered the perfect thing to do just that “Oh!..I forgot to tell you. Aunt Kit is friends with Ms. Kennard”
Taylor looked at Emma surprised “Really?..It’s a small world isn’t it?”
“Sure is. Aunt Kit was acting weird though and she almost fainted. Ms Kennard and I had to help her to her office”.
“She alright?” Taylor asked concerned absentmindedly placing her hand over Emma’s hand squeezing it gently underneath hers
Emma froze slightly feeling Taylor grab her hand but figured she was just comforting her “Yeah….She said she was ok but she seemed like something spooked her. It was weird”
Taylor then realized she was holding Emma’s and that she was enjoying it way too much and let go “Well I’m glad it wasn’t anything” Taylor said not meaning to sound dry and scooted away from Emma to lean back against her pillow not trusting herself to be that close to Emma. She grabbed her sketchbook and pencil and started to work on her art project
Emma watched as Taylor sketched in her book “Taylor?..Are you ok?”
Taylor didn’t look up as she began sketching “Yeah. I’m good. I just remembered I needed to do something with this sketch before class tomorrow. Did you do yours?”

Oh boy…. this is not going well. Emma overhearing a phone conversation is not the best way to find out who her mother is. And Tina and Emma finding out in the same conversation is not exactly the sensitive way to find out either. This is a very emotional moment for all of them. Its should take a few moments or even days for everyone adjust to the news before they delve into the whys and the how comes. This is a major event in Tina and Emma’s life. It will be a major event for Bette as well. And for all of them there will remain a question of what next? What will their relationships be? Will Emma be angry? In a way yes – she was abandoned. In a way no – she was given to the most wonderful mother who loved and cared for her more than life itself. And there’s the rub….how can you be angry and grateful at the same time for the same set of circumstances?
Good story… didn’t expect it to go quite this way…. but knew that they would find out sooner or later. Can’t wait to see the next chapter…. write soon as you can.

My oh my! Not totally surprised that everything collided into one big “smack”. But we all know, LIFE does not proceed in a straight line up to the glorious heavens.
Tina should be the first to speak since her wanting to find her daughter was really weighing on her. She should explain the whole story to Emma. And leave Em to decide what her emotions will be.
Bette’s arrival in LA and having to face Kit once again to deal with their issues let alone finding out that Tina is the birth mother. I’m curious if she will end up meeting Tina b4 the big reveal. If so, what will be her reaction to meeting “the” Tina Kennard that Bette only knows to be Emma’s professor. A Prof that’s Emma adores.
Gosh I’m loving the intrigue in this story! More pages Star!! We are a greedy bunch. HeHeHe!

I didn’t expect this so soon, wonder how this will play out!
Oh geez this is all moving quick… Sounds to me that Bette is the one who will be hurt the most by this, especially by her sister being the one to get it moving in right direction with out heads up first. This could really blow up. It will feel like Kit gave her baby away even if it was to her birth mother. She her mom she raised her she will get defensive I fear.
