    Bette chuckled after returning to Tina ”Now I see why you come here a lot” Bette slightly chuckled at Tina’s annoyed expression “I love what I do but it’s dealing with incompetent counsel that makes this job excruciatingly painful..I need a stiff drink at the end of the day to unwind” Tina replied “Did you

    ”Now I see why you come here a lot” Bette slightly chuckled at Tina’s annoyed expression

    “I love what I do but it’s dealing with incompetent counsel that makes this job excruciatingly painful..I need a stiff drink at the end of the day to unwind” Tina replied

    “Did you always want to be a lawyer?” Bette asked looking around to see if anyone else was approaching the bar

    Tina nodded enthusiastically

    “Actually yes…I started watching Law and Order back when I was in high school and was hooked..I never wavered from that” Tina smiled satisfactorily “Did you always wanted to be an accountant?”

    Bette shook her head

    “Actually I got a basketball scholarship to play at UConn but I tore up my knee before the start of the season my Freshman year and it ended my career..I planned to play professionally..”

    Tina frowned at hearing that remembering how good Bette was during high school

    “…So my father was an accountant and kind of pushed me to go that route and well the rest is history” Bette finishes looking down at the counter in the thought

    “Wow Bette..Im so sorry..I know basketball was your life” Tina blurted out before realizing what she said..

    Bette quickly turned to Tina “What?…How would you know“

    “Well we used to play against Westwood..I mean…You were kind of hard to miss being the best player out on the court” Tina said rather shyly feeling her cheeks flush

    Bette’s interest now piqued as she smiled “Oh..Really? What school?”

    “Brighton”

    Bette’s jaw dropped

    “Really?…Brighton was where all the gifted students went..They had a pretty good team as well…Should have guessed…Did you play?”

    Tina laughed out loud “Oh God No…I didn’t  have one ounce of athletic ability in my body..Thankfully what I lacked in that department I made up for up here “ She said pointing to her head

    Before Bette could respond Tina’s cellphone went off yet again

    “Excuse me..I have to answer this” Tina said quickly answering the call..”Hello?” She pauses and lets out an exasperated sigh “Yes…I’ll be right there” She says ending the call “I’m sorry..I have to go but thanks so much for the drink”

    Bette waved her off

    1. Oh boy… Haleigh is a mess… Sounds like this is not the first time she has called Tina for help or to be bailed out of jail. And there is what 15 or 16 years difference between Haleigh and Tina ages. So Tina and Bette are about 33 or 34 years old and Haleigh would be about 18 or 19 and she appears to be a mess. I think that we can look forward to some more problems for Tina in the future.

      So now Bette has a job in her chosen professes ion – accounting. Maybe she can get on her feet with this job.

      And I understand that Tina is going to have problems separating her personal feelings from her professional judgement. She is still very attracted to Bette… so let’s see what happens.
