    Fate Steps In

“You had no control over my heart.  You never had it from the start.  You wanted to cause me pain.  To see me standing here is driving you insane”

She winks at the fan directing the last line to her who smiles back and returns to her dancers as she goes into her chorus

    “Because you won’t break me..You can’t shake me.  I’m Shatterproof…Shatterproof”

The music slows and she almost speaks the next lines

“You didn’t think I would move on from you. Underestimating me was not the thing to do.  Played your hand you thought you won.  I showed you mine.(she gives a slight sinister laugh)..That was fun”

The music picks up in its intensity leading to the chorus again

“Because you can’t break me.  You can’t shake me..I’m Shatterproof…Shatterproof” she sings repeating the chorus one more time.

The song ends on the last note and she raises one fist in the air as pyrotechnics go off to the roar of the crowd.

“Thank You!” she shouts out to the crowd “Love you Philadelphia..You’ve been great..Thanks for coming out!”  she waves and takes a quick bow and blows kisses before turning and exiting the back of the stage located at the bottom of the screen

As she makes her way back to her dressing room she hears Ollie calling out to her

“Tina!”  She turns as he approaches her in a jog and stops trying to catch his breath

    “What’s wrong..Why are you running?”

“Did you not notice Karen wasn’t on stage with you for your encore”

Tina looked at him perplexed.  “No..To be honest I was too focused on getting everything right in the choreography and all I didn’t even notice” she says feeling ashamed “Is she ok?”

“She told Melanie she felt something pop in her heel on that last song right before you went off stage.  She can’t walk on it”

“Oh God!…Well who is getting her to the hospital?” Tina asked concerned

“Melanie is taking her…But Tina you are going to have to find a replacement before we head to Chicago tomorrow…Karen said her roommate is a dancer and knows the routine like the back of her hand.  She is here tonight”

Tina was feeling overwhelmed losing one of her best dancers to being thrust in to seeing her potential replacement all in one night .

    1. So Tina Kennard is a singer/dancer and Bette Potter is a emergency substitute dance about to go on the road with Tina’s group to perform a tour…. interesting.

Now is this the beginning of something? Bette is a good dancer and Tina thinks she beautiful. Now are Bette and Karen a couple or just long time friends and roommates in the traditional sense?

An interest beginning . Thanks you for writing. Love to see more.

    2. Interesting premise for our girls. Love the sparks between them when Bette caught Tina’s eye, and then when they shook hands. Looking forward to reading more!
