“Yeah. I’ll keep an eye on her.”

“So you think she is serious about this photography thing?”

“She seems to be.”

“We do have a great arts program at the center. It’s subsidized by one of the grants so there is no cost to the students. We even loan out the cameras and give them access to graphic computer software. So much of what they do these days is digital but we also do film photography. We have a darkroom set up so she can learn to develop film and print photos if that’s what she wants to do. She’s never mentioned her interest in photography to me before or I might have suggested this sooner.”

“That all sounds great Tina. It might be just what she needs. I think she has some personal stuff going on but she hasn’t opened up to me about it. It may have something to do with that rich guy that let her use the yacht for Mother’s Day. That was a generous offer but I’m not sure if it didn’t come with some strings attached.”

“I’ll talk to her when we get back.” Bette offered. “She might open up to me. Maybe if she gets her act together I can ask Lisa to talk to her about her graphic design career. She might be able to do something like that where it’s freelance. I know she wouldn’t be able to sustain anything where she is tied down.”

“She’ll listen to you. I think you’re the only one that ever really gets through to her.” Tina acknowledges the bond between Bette and Shane that she doesn’t share.

“OK. Hey I better get going. I need to get set up for my 11:00am talk. Are you guys going to be there?” Leigh asks as she prepares to leave.

“Yeah. We’ll be there for the 11:00am and then we’ll head to the hotel to wait for the gang. They should be getting here around 1pm. Tina, Angie and I are spending the afternoon with Lisa and the kids but Kit, Alice and Shane should be here for your 5pm talk. That’ll also give them a chance to view the exhibit before we meet them for dinner. Are you still having dinner with Rosie?
