“Yeah. We’re going to grab a quick bite at 6pm since I only have an hour between the 5p and 7p talks. I should be finished here by 9p. Are you guys planning to go out tonight?”

“Oh yeah. Bette and I really enjoyed Cannery Row the last time we were here. We’d like to take the girls to some of the clubs. You’re more than welcome to join us if you’re not too tired.”

“Oh I would love to see some of the nightlife. It’s been all work and no play for me so I’m looking forward to it.”

“OK we’ll see you later. Good luck today. You deserve everything you’ve got coming your way.”

“Thank you Bette. I’ll see you both later.” Bette and Tina give Leigh a hug and she departs to the gallery. They finish up their breakfast and leave the restaurant. They call Kit’s cell phone to check in. They had already spoken to Kit earlier that morning and everything was on schedule.

”Hey Kit. We’re just finishing breakfast and thought we’d check in. Is everything OK?”

”Hey baby sis. Yes everything is great. We’ve been on the road for about 2 hours. Monica is making really good time even driving this monster truck. We should be at the hotel by 1pm as planned.”

”How’s Angie? Is she awake yet?”

”No. All three of them are still dozing. I’m the only one up so I’m riding shotgun to keep Monica company. We’ve been having some very interesting conversations.”

”OK. Tina and I will be at the gallery listening to Leigh’s talk from 11 until noon. I’ll have my cell phone but it will be on vibrate so if you need to call and you get my voicemail just leave a message. I’ll call you right back or else text me OK?”

”You know I can’t figure out how to text on this damn thing. If anything urgent comes up I’ll have Shane or Alice text you but we should be fine. We’ll call you when we are getting close. Love you baby sis.”

    ”Love you too. Be careful.”

    ”OK bye.”

Bette and Tina visit art galleries and boutiques until it’s time for Leigh’s show. Once again they are impressed with the reception that she’s receiving and the talk goes well. Many of the collectors are interested in the intricacies of the creative process of sculpting using glass material. Leigh is in her element talking about what she loves. She also mentions that she does lectures and workshops at CU in case anyone is from that area or plans to visit.
