    A dream…and a coming out party.

    Tina smiled, feeling every movement of Bette’s eyes as they scrolled down her body, enjoying the tingling sensation that was following in the wake of Bette’s appreciative observation, as she continued down, all the way to Tina’s toes. “Well…”, Tina whispered, “how do I look?”

    Bette tilted her head, feeling her eyes watering, wondering how Tina could possibly ask that question. Didn’t she know how absolutely beautiful she was? “Oh Baby, you look…” She stopped and walked over to Tina, raising her hand and gently tracing her fingers down Tina’s throat. “You look just like the beautiful woman I was hoping to spend my life with,” she breathed.

    It was Tina’s turn to feel her eyes watering…feel her heart start pounding in her chest. God, how she loved this woman! She leaned her head towards Bette’s, rubbing noses with her rather than kissing her, not wanting to smudge their lipstick. “Good, cause I want to be the one you want…always.” The two women continued to look into the others eyes, each conveying the love they both felt.

    Finally Bette cleared her throat. “Come on, let’s go check on the kids, see if they’re ready. I need to be at the gallery in about 30 minutes.”

    All of their children were waiting for them in the spacious livingroom of the elegantly decorated home. Bette and Tina both beamed with pride as they came into the room, seeing how the children had chosen to dress. This had been a big test for Tina…allowing all three of her children to pick out their own outfits, for what was a very important event. Kit had passed on to Tina that the party was formal in dress, however casual and relaxed in atmosphere. Bette had convinced her to let the children decide for themselves how to dress, after she had explained to them what kind of party this was. At this moment, Tina was glad that she went along with Bette’s idea, and was very proud of her children…for they all looked very stylish, and after seeing the reaction of their mother and her beautiful and perfectly put together partner, all felt much more confident with the choices they had made.

    Bette gave the children one of her brilliant smiles. “Wow!! You all look incredible!!” She walked up and put her hand on Paul’s shoulder, causing a light blush to color his cheeks. She looked at each one, and spoke softly, her voice filled with gratitude. “Before we go…I just wanted you all to know how proud I will be tonight to be able to introduce you as part of my family to all my friends and colleagues. I cant tell you how grateful I am to have each one of you in my life. She reached up and gently laid her palm on Pauls cheek. Now, I know you guys are going back home tomorrow, but… She lifted her eyebrow and got a mischievous look on her face, until then, lets go have some fun!!
