    “Are you going to tell your mother that you have rumbled her ?” Tina asked
    Bette smiled “I have thought long and hard about it and without a doubt – no. I am going to watch to see what her next move is. “
    Tina smiled “I am pretty cheesed off with mine – this is just another in a long line of her thinking – correction – being certain that she knows what is best for me”
    “I do understand but wouldn’t it be fun to turn the tables and see if we can play them like they play us “

    Tina smiled “ What do you have in mind ?”

    “Well – on the one hand you could tell her that you and I had dinner together tonight “

    Tina laughed “Or I could tell her that I went home and watched TV all night “

    Bette nodded “Or you could say that you were there – because you have already said that and I can tell my mom that I had headache and cancelled my reservation. That way you are in the clear and my mom is mad with me and they will have to think of another way to get us in the same place. I would be interested to see what they came up with next “
    Tina looked at Bette and nodded

    “Maybe but my mother will have been a willing accomplice. My father was probably less keen to get involved. He did say that your mother was very driven “
    Tina laughed as she looked at the menu but reading the menu meant that she couldn’t feast on the much more delicious looking Bette. She opted for a fish dish that looked tasty and put the menu down to resume her mental appraisal of Bette
    “My mother is very ambitious and utterly driven – as much as love her I do know that my other mom was a saint “

    2. Thanks for posting! I love the shenanigans that Tina and Bette are plotting. Let’s get their moms a little more desperate that their plans seems to fail a few more times. ;-)
