Bette lifted a skeptical eyebrow. “Really?”
“Nah.” Sam smiled, her eyes twinkling in mischief. “But I do feel sorry for your celibate ass.”
“Bitch.” Bette frowned and gave a pout. “I don’t want your pity.”
“I’m giving it to you anyway.” Sam stuck out her tongue. “Payback for waking me up at the crack of dawn just to-” She paused. She turned her head sideways and looked quizzically at her bestfriend. “Wait, why am I here again?”
“Because you’re my bestfriend?”
“Other than that..”
“Because I said so?”
Sam rolled her eyes. “That’s a given.” She sighed. “Why was I summoned, B?”
“Oh.. nothing..”
“Nothing?” Sam repeated, her tone incredulous. “You’re telling me that I am freezing my ass for nothing?”
“Not really.” Bette smiled, looking all smart and clever. “You’re freezing your ass for me. And that my friend, that’s everything.”
“Says who?”
“Says me.”
“Of course.” Sam rolled her eyes, tempted to give her arrogant bestfriend a much deserved swat behind the head. “C’mon B, you must have a reason for calling me out here this early. I know I’m not the only one allergic to waking up before sunrise, you’re guilty of that too.” She said knowingly, poking Bette at the side.
“Do I really need a reason to hang out with you?”
“At the crack of dawn? Yes.” Sam deadpanned.
“But I’m your bestfriend..”
“Yes, but right now, you’re also the person who got me out of bed at four in the morning for no particular reason. So spill before I march back up and crawl into my girlfriend’s warm bed and go back to sleep.” Sam demanded, her hands on her hips.
“You really want to know?”
“I do.”
“Then figure it out yourself.” Bette folded her arms defiantly and smirked.
Foregoing words to let her incredulous and absolutely appalled expression do all the talking, Sam furrowed her brows and stared intently at her cryptic and downright evil bestfriend. Yes, Bette was acting all stubborn and demanding as usual.. but something was off. Something didn’t seem right. And after a moment of serious observing, she finally realized what that something was.. “You’re smiling..”

Applause on the 67 pages Alchemy! And so the famous throwing of the necklace in the pond came into view, wonder who will be doing the heartbreaking water hunting to get it back. You’re always worth the wait, thanks for the post.

I have to say, with work, it took me all morning to read this. But, thank you so much for the long chapters! I wish Bette and Tina would make up already!!! Not worried about the necklace…James was probably watching them. PPS
bloody hell Alch!! that was a doozy! i think while reading that chapter i experienced every human emotion, by the end though i swear i could feel bettes pain – all credit to your writing! Though i absolutely love drama i soooooooooo want them to just kiss/have lots of make up sex/get back together and have babies! pps

I thought half way through that they had a chance, now I am not so sure. Not sure how and who will take the next step. Maybe send someone to go diving after the necklace. I am heart broken.

Wow I just got back from my 3 week vacation and come back to 5 chapters of reading! I couldn’t stop and read all the chapters today! I gotta say you’re breaking my heart here, please fix our girls and their hearts and fast!! Can’t wait for the next chappie:0

Either Tina’s donning scuba gear and looking for that pendant, or when a more sober Porter realizes what she’s done, she’s having that pond drained. At least I *hope* so. Alchemy, you’re breaking my heart, but that’s not going to stop me from wanting another 60 odd pages. Brilliant chapter, I love this story! Thanks :)

Wow, amazing Alch. Before I started reading, I went out for supplies and made sure I was good to go because I did not want to stop reading. I unplugged the phone and turned off my cell even. AWESOME! Love child of MC hammer and Lady Gaga, LOL, good stuff. I’ve always felt that way about heart spotted clothes, like they were to be cupid’s target practice range LOL. Thanks for the post. It’s okay if you post a that many at a time, I’ll quit my job to make the time to read them. BTW, you didn’t crash the website server by posting this many at one time? I had every intention of reading the chapter in a couple of sittings, but somehow never found a place to stop! Fantastic, Alchemy! At the end, I imagined Tina making a swan dive into that pond and Bette’s security detail pulling her out with necklace in hand. Love the way you offset the sadness with so many hilarious images and situations.
It took me awhile to get through this one,but it was awesome.I can’t remember last time when I laughed so hard reading a fanfic,Bette in the beginning ‘torturing’ all the F4’s members – it was priceless.Then I have to say that I’m a huge Tina fan,and there’s no fanfic in which I liked Bette more than Tina,until I read this one.Your Bette is really good,even if she’s a bitch sometimes,a smart ass or whatever,shes’ exceptionally well written,I love her lol.But this chapter I don’t know,I would go against the flow and I would say that I don’t want TiBette together anymore(don’t hit me!).The last part made me hate Tina a little,I don’t know it doesn’t sound right but that’s it.This vulnerable Bette is too damn cute to resist,and now I really want Jill to be interested in Bette(oh my,what I ask for?),so this way Bette will get a little bit of loving,granted that she’s a ‘heartless drunken bitch’ but she didn’t deserve Tina to give her back the necklace,what she’s supposed to do now?Anyway if you get them back(okay more like when) someone should go ‘fishing’ for that pendant,and I hope that someone wouldn’t be Bette.Waiting (not so) patiently for the next update.Thanks.

I only watched bits and pieces of the taiwanese version and on the korean version it was there but not in this context.. i cannot wait how u would incorporate the maid part.. such a great and entertaining story.. one of the best.. pls post again soon.. ur avid fan..:)
